Publisher's summary

It is now six years since the secret disaster at Jurassic Park, six years since the extraordinary dream of science and imagination came to a crashing end - the dinosaurs destroyed, the park dismantled, the island indefinitely closed to the public.

But there are rumors that something has survived.

Featured Article: Book vs. Movie—Jurassic Park

Michael Crichton's 1990 sci-fi best seller became a cultural phenomenon with Steven Spielberg's 1993 blockbuster film adaptation. But what are the key differences between the novel and the movie? One of the most beloved sci-fi adventure films ever made, Spielberg's juggernaut Jurassic Park is a feat of animatronic work, impeccable casting, and wildly perfect pacing. No less incredible, still, is the novel on which it's based, Crichton's masterpiece. But just how similar are the two? If you're looking for the major differences between Jurassic Park the book and the movie, we've got you covered.

Hats off to Michael Crichton

I liked the lost world slightly better than the previous book, which is rare. Enjoy.

JP2 Reality Bites

Crichton returned to the island of misfit dinosaurs. Fallen Kingdom without the elitist raptor auctions

Great

The story is great. Nothing like the movie which makes it even better. The narrator has a very pleasant voice and does well in distinguishing characters and accents. I highly recommend!

Well lets just say!

How do I put this? Well lets just say the first one was better. Scott Brick did a phenomenal job with the voicing of the different characters. But I felt the story was week. I kind of liked Ian Malcolm in the first book but bringing him back to life I was like “eh”. Also there was a lot of unnecessary crass language.

What a great story

I am, constantly amazed by how different the books are from the movies. This one is no different. This is a great listen because the story is so much more flushed out.

Good Not Great

If you're expecting a sequel that matches the quality of the original, lowere your expectations. Still a very good book tho.
