The classic legal thriller and huge bestseller from master of the genre John Grisham.
David Zinc has it all: Big firm, big salary, life in the lawyer's fast lane.
Until the day he snaps and throws it all away.
Leaving the world of corporate law far behind, he talks himself into a new job with Finley & Figg. A self-styled 'boutique' firm with only two partners, Oscar Finley and Wally Figg are ambulance-chasing street lawyers who hustle nickel-and-dime cases, dreaming of landing the big win.
For all his Harvard Law Degree and five years with Chicago's top firm, Zinc has never entered a courtroom, never helped a client who really needed a lawyer, never handled a gun.
All that is about to change.

"boring, so very, very boring "
a thriller really should be thrilling to be a thriller. this book is far from thrilling.
"really great listen. Grisham as always delivers"
I always enjoy Grisham, listening to him is like putting on a favourite sweater, comfortable and you know what you're gwtting, and the litigators did not disappoint.
I thought it was well read although sometimes the intonation or expression didn't quite match what was being said but on the whole well acted.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish.
Really enjoyed this book. Was typical of John Grisham!! The narration was first class and conveyed the character of each person in the story.
This book had me in stitches after chapter 20. loved this book. The court case had me in bits.
A different approach from Grisham. If you like your story to be more streamlined this is not for you.
It's a group of stories within a story but non the less for all that it has its own merits just not Grisham's usual style.
Enjoyable in a different just didn't have quite the depth of subject matter or moralistic\ethical stimulus that Grisham's writing brings to some of his subject matters with some of his great legal plots.
"it all kinda happened in the last hour"
A long build up that was eventually rewarding, but it just took to long. I honestly lost interest half way through, only to be woken up towards the end. A decent listen, but I wouldn't put it in any of the top lists.
"Another gold star for John Grisham."
This excellent story gathers steam after the introduction of its characters, and it was hard to put down. Classic Grisham fare.
"A feel good crime story"
A Lawyer who escapes the treadmill, finds himself at the bottom of the ladder. The characters, the relationship and plot make this audiobook a jolly good listen.
"A fun listen"
John Grisham rarely disappoints and this book was a great listen. Excellent narration helps too.
"Engaging, easy pleasant listening"
Great story line, engaging and brilliantly acted by Dennis Boutsikaris another classic from John Grisham.
