Publisher's Summary

Oscar Finley: street cop turned street lawyer. Wally Figg: expert hustler and ambulance-chaser. David Zinc: Harvard Law School graduate. Together, this unlikely trio make up Finley & Figg: specialists in injury claims, quickie divorces and DUIs. None of them has ever faced a jury in federal court. But they are about to take on one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the States.

David gave up his lucrative career at Chicago's leading law firm for this: the chance to help the little guy stand up to the big corporations. But if Finley & Figg have right on their side, why do his new partners feel the need to carry guns in their briefcases? David thought he was used to cut-throat law from his days at Rogan Rothberg, but this is something else. He knows he was right to get out. He just may live to regret his new choice of firm....

"Another gold star for John Grisham."

This excellent story gathers steam after the introduction of its characters, and it was hard to put down. Classic Grisham fare.

A Lawyer who escapes the treadmill, finds himself at the bottom of the ladder. The characters, the relationship and plot make this audiobook a jolly good listen.

What did you like most about The Litigators?

The dog eat dog world of street lawyers clashing with the high powered jet setting trial attorneys makes for a thrilling yet humourous encounter. The legal terminology is clearly spot on and comprehensible to the reader; there are moments of sentimentality but these simply add to the charm of the narrative.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Litigators?

I fell off the sofa laughing during a moment in the trial when things go terribly wrong ... to say more would give the game away.

What does Dennis Boutsikaris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

His light tone is easy on the ear and his range of different voices for each character helps the listener envisage a mental picture with great ease.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

NOT ALL LAWYERS ARE CROOKS; NOT EVERY SINGLE ONE.

    Any additional comments?

Listened to this over two evenings; hooked.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Litigators to be better than the print version?

    N/A

What other book might you compare The Litigators to, and why?

I haven't listened to many courtroom drama books. this one is a good one when it gets to the courtroom scenario.

What does Dennis Boutsikaris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

he brings the story to life with voices for the various characters. far better than reading the book. he made it a very good listening experience. I have listened to him before narrating books.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

there isn't enough free time in a day to listen to it all in one sitting. it took me 3 days..

    Any additional comments?

really liked the three main characters, Oscar, the head of the little firm, wally always on the the lookout for the big one which will scoop millions, and newcomer david free from his last soul destroying job and enjoying the freedom he now has.
a little slow as the author introduced the characters but gathered speed as events unfolded..
I fast forward the speech where it came to the political part, I didn't think it added anything to the story, that's why 4 stars.

What did you like most about The Litigators?

I have always liked John Grisham from his early books - I went off them a bit in the middle and started to find them excellent again after an Innocent man. It seems like he has gone back to his element. The narration is very good.

John Grisham does it again, very difficult to put the book down (turn it off). Easy to follow and understand, great descriptions and a fast moving story.
