The Movie Is Just As Good
I saw the movie first and really enjoyed reading this book with visions of Matthew McConaughey as Mickey Haller in my head. I recommend both the book and the movie. Just another great read from Michael Connelly.

Interesting but...
The story is fun. The reading itself is well done, but the background music is overkill, unnecessary, very distracting, and takes away from an otherwise very good reader.

OUTSTANDING best of the Michael Connelly so far
I have read or listened to all of the "Bosch" series, fantastic, but this is my first Mick Haller title. It moves quickly and is believable. flows smoothly. The story is great!

Fantastic new direction
I have always enjoyed the Harry Bosch novels and look forward to many more but this new character and direction is outstanding. The book is extremely well written with tight dialog, believable characters, interesting insight into the life of defense lawyers and enough suspense for a lifetime. Don't miss this read!
