Publisher's summary

The extraordinary new adventure from the number-one New York Times- best-selling author.

Jungles come in many forms. There are the steamy rain forests of the Burmese highlands. There are the lies and betrayals of the world of covert operations. And there are the dark and twisted thoughts of a man bent on near-global domination. To pull off their latest mission, Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon must survive them all.

A devastating new weapon unleashed in 13th-century China... a daring rescue in the snowbound mountains along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border... a woman gone missing in the jungles of northern Thailand and Myanmar... for Cabrillo and his crew, all of these events will come together - leading to the greatest threat against U.S. security that the world has ever known.

Take another thrilling voyage with the Oregon Files.

Fast paced. Realistic historical background.

Fast paced. Realistic historical background. Welding and soldering are not the same thing. Excellent narration.

One of his best.

One of the best story lines I've come across. Well narrated and very enjoyable.

brick

where's scott brick? the book is good but it would be better if scott brick did the narrating. who ever did the first two oregon files sounded awful and then they brought in brick, and that was good. now we get culp? nothing wrong with culp, but brick was on point. if brick wanted more money, pay him more. if he was busy, wait for him.

i just saw the price is right the other day, and where is bob barker? who's this fat guy?

Best yet

I think this is the their book yet. I do agree that there isn't enough time spent utilizing the magic of the Oregon. However, overall I loved the book and highly recommend it.

Good Story, didn't like the Narrator.

You can not go wrong with any of the Oregon File books for filling the time on long trips. The Miles just melt away...but I had a real hard time trying to get used to the Narrator. Never did get used to his performance and it took away from my enjoyment of the book.

Another classic Cussler

Non stop fun, in a classic Cussler form
Juan and the entire Oregon Files team are at it again, and this time with a couple potential new members.
Not so much on the water this time, the team must go after a lunatic ready to take over the world - but who is the lunatic?
And what role will the mysterious accessory play in future stories
Read /listen to The Jungle to find out

Don't get discouraged that Scott brick is not your narrator. Jason Culp does an acceptable job, the story is good - it could be so much better.

Always great

Enjoyed the narrator. Nice switch up. Good performance. A few of the accents were pretty cool

Narrator comment

The narrator was OK, but his voice of women all seemed very nasal and forced

Move Over James Bond - You've Been Replaced

This is a fun book. It's got some excitement, some twists and turns, and of course the ahh moment. The leader of the crew of the Oregon, Juan Cabrillo, is a real manly man who still knows how to treat a lady and draw respect and loyalty from those around him. His keen intelligence and leadership binds the crew together and makes the completion of the mission possible.

I do enjoy the Origon series.

glad I dont have to do that stuff. I have trouble multitasking. These guys always start one thing then four others pop up. I would have been shot a ton of times.
