In his absence, Hugh's son has been killed and his beloved wife, Sophie, abducted by a ruthless duke in search of a priceless relic dating back to the Crucifixion. Unbelievably one of my favorite James P books!

This was unusual for JP to write and I really loved it! I hope there are more coming in this genre !

Great book and great listening

This book was a great listen. The reader was very good and added substantially to the story by his tones and inflections. Very enjoyable.

The Jester

Kept my interest. Good story, but not one of Patterson's best.

Not as bad as everyone seems to be saying!

I must admit that there was a little more sex and bad language than nescessary but all in all I truly enjoyed this book. The story gets much more interesting after the first couple of hours, and the characters are quite memroable. This is my first Patterson book and I give it a thumbs up!

Great Story

It isn't Steinbeck or Faulkner but for what it is i.e. a popular novel it is a GREAT book. I really enjoyed it, one of Patterson's best!
