On a weekend vacation with her brother and niece, Beth Anderson is unnerved when a stroll on the beach reveals what appears to be a skull, and instantly recalls the retired couple who disappeared off the island's coast a few months earlier. Determined to find solid evidence to bring to the police, Beth digs deeper into the mystery of the skull - and everywhere she goes, Keith Henson seems to appear. He claims to be keeping an eye on her safety, but Beth senses other motives.

Then a body washes ashore, and Beth begins to think she needs more help than she bargained for - because investigating is a dangerous game, and someone wants to stop Beth from playing.

Review

I've liked so many of Heather's books but this one frustrated me. The main character seems argumentative and obtuse. It was hard to be happy for her at the end. She was just not likeable in so many ways.

Entertaining but typical

This story is the equivalent of a Lifetime Orginal Movie for women. Suspense combined with a sappy love story and a weak ending. But it was entertaining! It kept me going through my commute. At first I didn't like the narrator, but she grew on me. So overall its a good story to pass time.

loved thus one. it was very enjoyable. I live audio books because you can just return to where you left off.

Great storyline with all the facinating find but this is what uncover job can go from bad to very bad for this innocent family who throught that they on a wekend holiday. When subtle on a bone particularly a skull that belongs to a human. Before they know it they were followed from their week time for rest back to their world. This people or criminal did all they can to stop them but in the end some did get what they were look for which their our death.

Not her best...

Not really. Not Heather Graham's best work. Found the story to be a bit boring and the narrator was the same. Not bad, but not good.

Love Heather Graham books. I've read almost everything she's published. Even under her other name Shannon Drake.

Can't think of three words. She was ok. But didn't care for the voices and she read too fast.
