Colorado Congressman Evan Kendrick is trying to live out his term of office quietly—when a political mole reveals to the world Kendrick's deepest secret: that Kendrick was the anonymous man in Masqar, the man who courageously freed the hostage held in the American embassy by Arab terrorists; the unknown hero who performed an act of outrageous daring then silently disappeared.
Now, suddenly, Kendrick is a living target pursued by the terrorists he outwitted. Together with the beautiful woman who once saved his life, Kendrick enters a deadly arena where the only currency is blood, where frightened whispers speak of violence yet to come, and where Kendrick's life—and the fate of the free world—may ultimately rest in the powerful hands of a mysterious and deadly figure known only as the Mahdi.

I just couldn't stop on this one. I even spent more time hiking just so I could listen longer.
I have no idea if the audio version is better because I have not read nor seen the print version
Daniel Silva books, because of the character development
Love Scott brick.
But I just could not suspend disbelief. This book is comprised of two different stories (one a political intrigue, the other a super hero spy story) that the author was unable to stitch together convincingly. It is presented as three books, but each book consists of the two stories badly stitched together.
Many explorations and adventures await!
Not sure, the book is all over the place and is written badly. Unbelievable plot, story line and suspense is teeth "gnashingly" painful.
Sure would, but only his oldest works.
Of course, he does a superb job with all the material he is given to read.
None for me and I have listened to thousands of books in last 20 years.
Everyone seemed angry with each other.
Plot seemed interesting.
Enjoyed the Bourne series, but that was years ago. I may have forgotten, but it seems all of Ludlums characters are always p-o'd. Makes for an unhappy book and a bad listen.
I really enjoyed listening to this book. The characters are well developed and the story is intriguing. This is my first time reading this author. I bought the book on audibles recommendation and it was well worth the money.
I really did try but after the meeting with the VP then the trip to the cabin… I gave up and started rooting for the bad guys. Yes, I know the odds are stacked against the good guys so when they win it’s a momentous moment. I’ve stopped it for now, I may finish it but I’m not sure when.
started this book because I like some other other books he has written and I love Scott Bricks performances, but I am completely lost with in the first chapter. I thought maybe it's me. so I restarted and made sure I did nothing else during that's first 20 min and still I am lost.....
not finishing this book and returning it.
