Great Book!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This is one of the best audiobooks I have ever listened to. This a compelling story of power and corruption against an innocent man.

What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Scott is simply the best storyteller I know of.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I can say this is the first time I actually got angry at the bad guys while listening to a book. The injustice was so great.

Amazing story line!!!!

This is not anything that I expected and I really enjoyed this storyline. It was graphic at times but I think it was needed to tell their story. I would like this book!!!! Hope I get to listen to another one soon.

An amazing 10 out of 10!

I rarely review anything, but this book was a terrific listen. Not only author’s best book, but another great performance by narrator.

Favorite author

I love Haig books and this is no exception. I like his Sean drummon seeies better but you can't go wrong with this book. I have now read all but one of his books and throughly enjoyed every one of them

A LOT OF SUPRISE AND LAUGHS...I HAVE READ HAIG BEFORE BUT THIS FOR ME WAS # 1 BY FAR MY VERY FAVORITE.

Phenomenal, thrilling, mesmerizing

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hunted to be better than the print version?

Yes, Scott Brick's narration brings the characters to life. He had me 'living' the story as he narrated. The narration turned this from a 2-dimensional read to a 3-dimensional experience. Mr. Brick is very gifted. He is able to bring the many personalities in the story to life in a way that - as you listen to him - you understand that this is what the author wanted you to to experience as you read his story.

What other book might you compare The Hunted to and why?

Up Country by Nelson DeMille. Although it is fictionalized, it too is based on real life events that DeMille lived through. The substance of the book when combined with the superb narration puts you into the moment, allowing you to experience the terrain, the tension, the politics, the characters and the lives of the participants and victims of the war from all sides.

Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?

An unfair question, since the story is broader than just a character - but the top pick would be Alex.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes - there were many such moments. From the first escape scene in the restaurant to the final victory.

Any additional comments?

This book has gotten me hooked on Audible. I used to be an occasional listener. After hearing The Hunted and getting really moved by the story, I I began to buy more credits and also immediately bought a few hundred more hours of listening by responding to Audible email promotions.

I have listened to this book 5-6 times!

And I rarely re-read novels...too little time usually.

This is a true story and sucked me in instantly as I quickly began to care about this clever, honorable man in his imposed quest of recovering his good name.

I can not recommend it highly enough! One great read!

Awesome book!!!

This book didn't peak my interest at first. I really purchased it as I enjoy Scott Brick narrative skills, but I soon got completely caught up in this thriller. I was a child when the KGB existed ( under that title) and the terror that Russians suffered during that time is unimaginable. Many thanks for this novel.

Terrible Narration

I couldn't stick with the book because the narrator was just terrible. I just purchased the book and was looking forward to a good listen.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hunted to be better than the print version?

This was something very different for me, and I really enjoyed it. On pure entertainment I rate this book high. A good listen, when you don't want anything heavy. This is Russia, and this is what Americans don't see, a country ruled by crooks and thieves. It's a good read, but Scott Black makes it a better listen!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Hunted?

How easily the FBI fell into line! This is not hard to believe, given our current administration!

Can't pick one, he did such a fine job with most of them.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The torture. Unimaginable.
