On New Year's Day, 1976, radio listeners were introduced for the first time to a former Chicago cop turned hard-luck private detective named Harry Nile, the brainchild of mystery fan Jim French, who created the 1950s-era character for a one-time-only broadcast. But audiences wanted more, and so began 26 years of episodes featuring Phil Harper as Harry.
Here are 20 of Private Detecive Harry Nile's cases, from October 1950 to Summer 1952. These are full-cast audio dramatizations.

Years ago I heard Harry Nile stories on the radio. The station stopped playing the stories. I heard one of the stories on the Old Time Radio station. I then found these on audible. I am so happy!!
