"The author's prose has the merits of simplicity, euphony and precision. His descriptions leave one as if standing in the Botswana landscape. (Sunday Telegraph)
The No. 1 Ladies detective agency series is a charming set of unpretentious books, lovely to listen to while gardening or doing other chores. Unfortunately, the sries has changed the narrator, which is not an imporvement. It is quite annoying that she tries to give each person another voice and accent (and not even consistently) and they are very much over the top.
"Gentle tales of Botswana"
These books are a delight to listen to. The plots are uncomplicated which makes them easy to listen to. The characters develop with each new book and have the ability to make you smile as you listen.
