Forget James Bound, or even Ludlum’s Jason Bourne. Victor is the ultimate assassin.

What sets Tom Wood’s writing apart from any other writer in the genre is his flawless combination of detailed analysis, pace, and—perhaps, most important—believable characters and plots. How any other writers in the genre have gotten their books optioned and filmed by Hollywood studios before Wood’s Victor series is an absolute mystery to me. The Game is as good as they come. Just better. You will not be able to put this book down! Hail to Tom Wood, the best architect in the field of assassin thrillers.

Loved It!

Once again, heart pumping action strung together with weight bearing plot and Clancy-like tech. Victor the Assassin's gotta' be today's 007. Great escapist stuff. No literary redeeming features... but an EXPLOSION of testosterone leaves powder burns all over my imagination. There's nothing I can tell you about the plot without bringing it spoiling down around your expectations.

And Rob Shapiro? Cannot say enough so I won't try. This is my VERY favorite action team right now and I'm off to find the next in the series. You like this kind of stuff? Then start this epic from the first book "The Killer" and work your way toward "The Game".

Oh... and virtually no politics hidden badly in the narrative. Not to worry that Wood's trying to see you some sort of ideological snake oil, just... did I say escapist stuff? Yeah Dude (or Dudette) I did!

Victor, an assassin and a gentleman!!! 👏🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👏

This series is #1 in my vast Audible library. This was the third in Victor the Assassin series and like the previous two, author Tom Wood’s brilliant writing again is perfectly paired with outstanding narration by Rob Shapiro. Extremely well done, I feel I know the dark, handsome, threatening and mysterious Victor. So excellent that I could envision every character in this action-packed audiobook. Wood and Shapiro combine their extraordinary talents that lead us all over the world on a dangerous and thrilling adventure. Twists, turns throughout! I already have the fourth in the series and am looking forward to listening the entire series. Still have my crush on Victor! Intensely high recommendation. Ya gotta love Victor! Again, thank you and kudos to both Wood and Shapiro.

Another Great Story

I just discovered Tom Wood three weeks ago and I have read the first three books of the Victor the Assassin series. All three have been extremely well written thrillers on the level of Vince Flynn, Tom Clancy, and Mark Greaney. The three stories are different, well written and totally enjoyable thrillers. I am happy to know that I have several more good ones yet to read. Keep up the good work Tom Wood.

dramatic and full of challenges

I love this character. The challenges he faces are truly intriguing. Victor vs. Mitch Rapp would be quite a battle.

Absolutely Fantastic

This is the third book in the series. Each subsequent book has gotten better, and this third installment does not disappoint. I love the "assassin superhero" genre, but usually I find the plot lines too idiotically simple. Almost always - the hero does something obviously and absolutely dumb and then has to fight his way out of it. "Gray Man" is a perfect example - he does something dumb so often it makes you want to scream. But not so with Victor the assassin. He rarely does something dumb and is always cool, logical and pragmatic. In this sense he is a lot like "Mitch Rapp." This series is great and I recommend it highly.
