Publisher's summary

In the heart of North Carolina's Research Triangle stands a corporate laboratory much like the others nearby. But behind its walls, America's top scientists work around the clock to attain the holy grail of the 21st century - a supercomputer that surpasses the power of the human mind.

Appointed by the president as ethicist to Project Trinity, Dr. David Tennant finds himself in a pressure cooker of groundbreaking science and colossal ambition. When his friend and fellow scientist is murdered, David discovers that the genius who runs Project Trinity was responsible and that his own life is in danger.

Unable to reach the president, and afraid to trust his colleagues, David turns to Rachel Weiss, the psychiatrist probing the nightmares that have plagued him during his work at Trinity. Rachel is skeptical of David's fears, but when an assassin strikes, the two doctors must flee for their lives.

Pursued across the globe by ruthless National Security Agency operatives, David and Rachel struggle to piece together the truth behind Project Trinity and the enormous power it could unleash upon the world. As constant danger deepens their intimacy, Rachel realizes the key to Trinity lies buried in David's disturbed mind. But Trinity's clock is ticking.

Good storyline.

I enjoyed this book very much. As always with Greg Iles books, the characters were very well developed. Although the plot was different, I found myself thinking of the 1980's movie War Games.

THOUGHT PROVOKING FOR THE SCI-FI FANS

This book combines science with spiritualism and IS NOT for a great many readers. I read this book decades ago on cassette tape during a cross country drive. My radical Sunday class had a speaker on quantum physics which made me think...…..I needed to read it again.

Loved the book.

Where does The Footprints of God rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really enjoyed this book. It was not at all what I thought it was going to be. I was intrigued and captivated by the story. It was one of my favorite audio books.

Tsk, tsk, boo!!!

Would you try another book from Greg Iles and/or Dick Hill?

I have enjoyed many Greg Iles books and LOVE Dick Hill's narrations of everything!

What could Greg Iles have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Make it shorter, left out the ending.

Which character – as performed by Dick Hill – was your favorite?

Dick Hill

Could you see The Footprints of God being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

NO

Any additional comments?

I am so disappointed Mr. Isles. I agreed with your speech after the ending but even that came up short. I wish to be entertained not read someone's dissertation on what is God, Who created Him and How. The ideas intrigued me but wrong place wrong time : )

Different topic, certainly!

Liked the premise of the computer... a little slow here and there, sometimes hard to see where it might be going... overall kept me hooked.

This book should be in the romance category.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No! There is TOO much back and forth with Rachael Weiss. Needs more meat and less sugar.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Greg is one of my favorite authors but he laid an egg here. Next listen! Greg or Vince Flynn.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Dick did a good job considering what he had to work with. He also is one of my favorites.

Was The Footprints of God worth the listening time?

No! I wasted my last credit on this and feel ripped off. This was the first book I almost deleted before finishing.

Any additional comments?

I wonder if I'm a sexist or does anyone else notice how Women come across in these books.
They all sound like Miss Kitty, "be careful Matt".

Great Read, Well Read

This was a terrific story, touching on philosophy and religion along with its well developed protagonist and interesting scientific imaginings. It was exceptionally well read by Dick Hill. Recommended!
