From New York Times best-selling authors Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison comes the highly anticipated thriller in their Brit in the FBI series, featuring special agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine in their new roles as heads of the Covert Eyes team - but will their first case be their last when the enigmatic and dangerous thief known as the Fox reappears?
"He who controls the weather, will control the world. He who controls time, will never be around." - Thomas Frey
FBI Special Agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are the government's Covert Eyes - leading a top-notch handpicked team of agents to tackle crimes and criminals both international and deadly. But their first case threatens their fledgling team when the Fox calls from Venice asking for help.
Kitsune has stolen an incredible artifact from the Topkapi Museum in Istanbul, and now the client wants her dead. She has a warning for Nick and Mike: she's overheard talk that a devastating Gobi desert sandstorm that's killed thousands in Beijing isn't a natural phenomenon, rather is produced by man. The Covert Eyes team heads to Venice, Italy, to find out the truth.
From New York to Venice and from Rome to the Bermuda Triangle, Nicholas and Mike and their team are in a race against time, and nature herself, to stop an obsessed family from devastating Washington, DC.

Coulter and Ellison did it again: wrote another super book. I love the "Brit in the FBI" series. If you have not heard/read this series, this book is built on "The Final Cut" read or listen to "The Final Cut" first.
Just like the books before, I absolutely loved the story! Although the slight lisp is Mike's voice is still a bit off putting, it does not take away from the story. I hope there is another book in the series soon!
I normally like Ms. Coulter's novels, but I couldn't get past the first few chapters...The narrators that have done the others in this series aren't my favorite, but tolerable. HOWEVER, in this selection, they do FOREIGN ACCENTS, along with American and IT'S A COMPLETE DISASTER! AND THAT'S ONLY THE START OF MY UNHAPPINESS.
BECAUSE I couldn't stand it any longer after a few chapters, I am only able to complain about "THE EVIL TWINS", THE WEATHER CONTROLLING MADMAN, AND THE CLUELESS FBI AGENTS. That was ENOUGH for me.
No, but I will DEFINETLY NOT BE ADDING ANY FUTURE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES TO MY WISH LIST!
ALMOST ANYONE ELSE
ALL OF THEM
This book was really an Indiana Jones book. It was very out there. I don't think I would put this in a crime or detective novel genre. It is really fantasy. What a change for this author! I do like the characters but I wish they would return to crime/drama.
Honestly, before I purchase another Coulter book I will read the summary carefully. This book was boring. I will not read another Raiders of the Lost Ark style story. There are other good crime/drama authors out there.
Are these the readers? They are fine.
Be more careful when I go to select books from authors I've read before.
Disappointing book from an author I usually like a lot.
This was the best of the series so far. Started it at 9pm last evening and finished it at 540 THIS evening. No sleep and managed to work an eight hour day. Love, loved, LOVED!!!!!!!! it.
I normally like Coulter's books but this one just didn't live up to the others. The story didn't really come together well and was certainly not believable and characters were not well developed. Also, the narrators seemed to put so much effort into their Italian, Scottish, British etc accents but when one of the main characters has a Japanese name and they seem to use it in every other sentence (Kitsune), they made no effort to learn how to say it. If you don't know Japanese this probably wouldn't bother you but to me it was extremely annoying. Can't really recommend this book.
Looking forward for more BRIT action... Ty I enjoyed every exciting adventure..
The suspension and cliff hanger were spectacular.. Can't wait to see what is the next step
