Publisher's summary

#1 WORLDWIDE BESTSELLER • While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling symbols.

“Blockbuster perfection.... A gleefully erudite suspense novel.” —The New York Times

“A pulse-quickening, brain-teasing adventure.” —
People

As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci—clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

Even more startling, the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion—a secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci—and he guarded a breathtaking historical secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle—while avoiding the faceless adversary who shadows their every move—the explosive, ancient truth will be lost forever.

The Da Vinci Code

A great read. Just enough plot twists to keep you reading. Characters are very well developed.

Brown keeps your attention

Brown keeps your attention by revealing just enough information to keep you wondering "who dunnit". The line is a little slow in spots with a little too much French with no translation.

Great listen on the go.

The book was a great deal of fun. If you are looking for something to listen to while jogging or walking or pumping the stairmaster - this is your book. The abrideged version was 6 hours of great entertainment. Overall, the plot is tight, the pace was the good, and the narration was better than average. The book made time go by unnoticeably - I reached my destination or finished my workout before I knew it.

Great book but...

Great book but it would have been better as an unabridged edition.

Things you thought you knew...you will now know!

Be taken into a world that has always been right in front of you. You have seen the things you are about to experience, but were never really explained to you. The world you have always known has now become the world of revelation. What if many things you considered in life to be true, were constructed to control half the world's population. How would you see things in life once you knew the truth? This fast paced fictional adventure will run you through a list of "factual information" (bibliographies included in book) about Secret Societies, Religious Sects, and the mysteries behind the most sought after quest of all time. The adventure will run you through Highly Intellectual Code Breaking, Murder, Deceit, and exciting revelations. This is where "Fact" meets Fiction and gives you the reader the opportunity to enjoy learning and revealing at an exponential rate.

Very enjoyable book

Having previously read the book, I found the audio to be even more fascinating. Enjoyed this book more than most others. I could have done without the fake accents of the reader but it was such a good book the accents could be overlooked. Dan Brown has become my favorite author.
