Publisher's summary

Detective Harry Bosch was sure he'd shot the serial killer responsible for a string of murders in LA...but now, a new crime makes him question his convictions.

The Dollmaker was the name of the serial killer who had stalked Los Angeles ruthlessly, leaving grisly calling cards on the faces of his female victims. Now with a single faultless shot, Detective Harry Bosch thinks he has ended the city's nightmare.

But the dead man's widow is suing Harry and the LAPD for killing the wrong man - an accusation that rings terrifyingly true when a new victim is discovered with the Dollmaker's macabre signature.

So for the second time, Harry must hunt down a death-dealer who is very much alive, before he strikes again. It's a blood-tracked quest that will take Harry from the hard edges of the L.A. night to the last place he ever wanted to go - the darkness of his own heart.

With The Concrete Blonde, Edgar Award-winning author Michael Connelly has hit a whole new level in his career, creating a breathtaking thriller that thrusts you into a blistering courtroom battle - and a desperate search for a sadistic killer.

Impressed? Ace detective Harry Bosch is also on the case in other exciting Michael Connelly crime-fiction novels.

The story hangs together well

Excellent plot twists and dialogue. Connelly fills in his characters well. They have depth and background.

Good Book, but Sound Quality Isn't Ideal

The book is good, of course, but the audio sounds like the engineer ran it through a fuzzy effect or something. Sounds like it is playing through a badly blown speaker.

Another great story. It is full of surprises.

Bosch as a person keeps evolving and growing. He feels more real than most police characters, because he is affected by his experiences.

The story is full of twists and surprises. The kind that make you wonder how you did not see it coming.

#3 Is Way Better than #2!!!

Except for book #2, I have enjoyed all of the Books I've read in the Harry Bosch series. I thought I had figured it out halfway through the book but I was wrong. So it made me glad it wasn't predictable. The story is very simple and yet it has a way to keep you interested. I look forward to getting started on book #4. If you enjoy the Harry Bosch series, this is a good one to read. Very well written and the narration is superb.

Very entertaining

The books pacings are perfect. Harry is a bit of a prick, but there is a lot to like. As is typical in Bosch books, the ending is a bit out of nowhere and makes 90% of the book irrelevant, but the journey was fun.
