For years, Trent Turner has worked in the shadows using his vigilance and determination to covertly defend his country. His anonymous days dispatching of the world's dark realities are interrupted when the unthinkable happens and sends him on a path that could destroy him. He finds himself embroiled in a conspiracy where political and financial powers collide when members of a hacktivist group are strong-armed into helping a sworn enemy of the United States rise to power once again.

I quite enjoyed listening to this story. It flowed pretty well and had s good plot. There were s couple of choppy points in middle but overall very good. Enjoyed the mix of characters.
Good first book. Looking forward to the next book. Well done. Need 4 more words.
The author did a good job on this book especially being his first. It could have used a little more action but overall it was a great listen. I look forward to his next book.
I started this book and got about 5 hrs into it and had to start over. I almost did not start over and finish it. I am glad I started over it was worth it. There is a lot going on in this book and I had some time following it. I think if I would read it it would have been better. The reader was pretty good but what confused me was there was so many players and same voices and 2 different names for some people. I think this would have been a 5 star for me if it had multiple readers like the Pike Logan series. I am going to listen to this one again in the near future and look forward to his next one.
This book was an excellent story. The plot was fantastic. The characters were very well done. The narrator was excellent for the story. My only complaint with this is that in some areas like the chapters were a little out of place or not as complete as they could've been. Still overall a very good read.I do look forward to the next book in the series. I believe that the offer will grow in his abilities as a writer. He even says at the end he has a long ways to go but he is correct he's got a book that he can be proud of.
He had a very good plot and the use of cutting edge electronics was interesting. My complaints were that it seemed that a chapter was left out every now and then. Eg, Trent was possibly dead, then the next chapter he was talking to an old frend. There was no explanation about what had happened. This kind of disjointedness happened several times in the story. I suspect that it was the editing rather than the author, but who knows? Additionally, but not as importantly, there seemed to be several coincidences in the book, ( he was looking for an assasin and accidentally would run into him instead of finding him logically), that kind of thing. The author is talented enough to not need this convenient happenstance. If I knew these issues were addressed I would buy a book by him again, but not until they are.
The storyline was interesting, but this book was hard to follow, I had to keep re-listening to make sure I hadn't missed something. I hadn't but the leaps were odd and I wondered how they got from point A to point D without hitting B and C. There were many characters and it took a while to understand who was who - once I got it the book was interesting.
I may try another book, but hopeful the author doesn't jump so much.
