What made the experience of listening to The Charm School the most enjoyable?
The story was so engrossing. One of the best books, ever.
What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Scott Brick is a wonderful narrator. The accents used are perfect.

Makes you wonder about American Military
Would you consider the audio edition of The Charm School to be better than the print version?
any well written book is great in book form or audio version. I love to read,but I can listen while I cross stitch. The best of both worlds
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Charm school touched my heart because of all the possible MIA and troubled me because of the government lack of caring for the men and women who give their lives for this country......of course its only fiction.....right?

Part Terror, Part Interesting, Part Doldrums

#1 I love Scott Brick. Once again he brought insight, introspection and intrigue to his reading.
#2 I'm intrigued by cold war USA/USSR spy novels. This one did a good job of providing real historical information about that part of our history. (Although some of it doesn't always make you proud of our part in that story.)
#3 Nelson DeMille is a terrific story writer/teller. But not so much this time. The story trundled along until the end. Then it finally picked up its tempo and capture of the reader's (and/or listener's) attention. Too long with too many bouts of tedium.
I truly wanted to love this novel ... just couldn't quite get there.
