Meet the McKenzies. On their farm nestled in upstate Trumansburg, New York, veterinarian Austin McKenzie and his wife, Madeline, keep themselves busy looking after a variety of ailing farm animals and pets in poor health. But while they may be able to mend creatures great and small, they have yet to find a cure for murder.

I haven't read Hemlock Falls, but I might after listening to these books. The plot was good and the characters were likeable. All in all it was a good book. However, the narrator was horrible. He made the women's voices sound whiny and some of the men's voices were irritating. Another thing I did not like was how often the good Dr. stated how lovely his wife was. I think it's great that he still finds her attractive but it was unnecessary to the story and unrealistic. Like I said, it's a good book. Worth a credit and time.
Madelyn, she's full of calm and reason.
No bathroom breaks.
I enjoyed this book but you have to pay close attention because of all the characters, it's easy to lose track of them.
