In this mystery classic, Perry Mason takes on the case of a young woman whom the authorities accuse of exploiting her wealthy uncle.
The Case of the Beautiful Beggar is part of Erle Stanley Gardner's massively popular, always compelling Perry Mason series. Everyone's favorite crusading attorney must use all his investigative and interrogatory skills to crack the case and win the trial.

Writing reviews is work. Therefore, I need to be really happy or really unhappy with a book to write one.
Somewhere around the one hour mark, (Perry and his client are at the motel) the final chapter has been inserted. After a couple of minutes, the story resumes and ends before the final chapter begins. Since it is already a rather confused plot, the first time around it was REALLY confusing!
Don't bother with this book, half way through the ending is read.
This book should be pulled until it is corrected. I would like a refund.
The end is in the middle, then you get the 4th section and then the 3rd section. Horribly confusing.
I gave the stars based on the story....which is classic Perry Mason and can't be beat. However, audible really should remove the recording or get it fixed. As a previous reviewer stated, the order is somehow messed up. Suddenly about an hour from the end, the last segment including the "thank you for listening" ending are inserted and then it jumps back to the point where it left off. Very annoying...but not the book or narrator's fault, so I didn't mark it down for that. The narrator was okay, just didn't sound like Perry Mason to me, but maybe I'm simply expecting Raymond Burr.
