Publisher's summary

It exists at the fringes of Washington, D.C., has no power, and consists solely of four eccentric and downtrodden members whom society has forgotten. Their simple goal is to find the "truth" behind their country's actions.

One man leads this aging, ragtag crew. He has no known past and has taken the name "Oliver Stone". Day and night, Stone and his friends study wild conspiracy theories, current events, and the machinations of government, hoping to discover some truth that will hold America's leaders accountable to its citizens. Yet never in Stone's wildest nightmares could he imagine the conspiracy the Camel Club is about to uncover.

After witnessing a shocking murder, the Club is slammed headfirst into a plot that threatens the very security of the nation, full of stunning twists, high-stakes intrigue, and global gamesmanship rocketing to the Oval Office and beyond. Soon the Club must join forces with veteran Secret Service agent Alex Ford, who becomes an unwilling participant in one of the most chilling spectacles to ever take place on American soil. It's an event that may well be the catalyst for the long-threatened Armageddon between two different worlds, and all that stands in the way of this apocalypse are five unexpected heroes.

In The Camel Club, best-selling author David Baldacci paints a frighteningly vivid portrait of a world that could be our own very soon, and the few people who have a chance to stop the chaos.

Marvelous narration and story

Four conspiracy theorists makeup the camel club. Their leader is Oliver Stone who works in a cemetery and occupies a tent in Lafayette Park across from the White House. When they witness a murder they stumble onto a far reaching conspiracy. A wonderful saga and group of characters. Highly recommend.

not my favorite Baldacci work

Narrated ok. Story had lots of angles and characters. I struggled to keep up with it all. Not my favorite Baldacci work.

SCARY BUT WHAT WE CAN EXPECT OF OUR CORRUPT GOV.!!

WE NEED TO IMPEACH/RECALL POLITICIANS, DISBAND ALL GOVERNMENT, AND START OVER. THEY ARE WORSE THAN TERROISTS!!

Fascinating Storyline

I love David Baldacci’s “Camel Club “. I read the book when it was first released and have listened to the audiobook at least 3 times. The narrator is awful. All the characters sound the same, male and female. I didn’t let that influence my enjoyment of the book. All the other narrators made up for this one. Please don’t have him do another David Baldacci book.

Non Stop Action

Baldacci writes a far fetched story about a spy who has been hiding for 30 years, but who cares if it is impossible when it captures your interest so that you can't wait to see what is going to happen next. The political messages are very strong but I can ignore that. Highly recommended.

The Camel Club

A fascinating read. The way details and plot are slowly revealed throughout the story makes for an compelling story and makes you want to hear it all in one sitting. I could have done without the obvious political propaganda on behalf of the author. He could have communicated his political views without a sledgehammer.

Your squib on the website needs work. It misnames the characters and even the role of the lawyer.
