A classic yarn.

Hard to find a better version of the professional killer genre. Whatever happened to Maureen?

Intriguing

Great writing and story. At first, I didn’t care for Michael Kramer as the narrator because I love his voice in fantasy/sci-fi stories but I grew to like him as the butcher’s boy.

Decent Story - Good Narration - BUT

I was enjoying this book up until the last hour. I don't understand how the main Justice Dept. character can be so stupid - it just doesn't make sense. I agree with the reviewer that says the government agents look bumbling - too much so. The narration is good, and I guess I would give this a passing recommendation - barely.

Good book but questionable ending!

What did you like best about this story?

This book was great... until the ending! Lots of great suspense and intrigue in this book but I'm still waiting for the ending! It's almost as if the author had a limit to the amount of pages he could submit and had to force a quick ending. Still worth the listen just for the characters and story line.

Entertaining Listen!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Butcher's Boy to be better than the print version?

Yes

What other book might you compare The Butcher's Boy to and why?

This book is simular to just about every book that I have read by Michael Connelly, mostly the ones in the LAPD Detective Harry Bosch series because of the writing style of Connelly is very similar to this author's work.

Which character – as performed by Michael Kramer – was your favorite?

The lead character, of course. However, Kramer does a great job with all, even with female characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

No, not really. The entire books is full twists and turns to keep the reader/listener off balance and entertained.

Any additional comments?

I really liked this book and am anxious to listen to another by Perry.

decent story

God but ending was weak. Ending was just a little bit abrupt and really seem like it was just kind of thrown together

Really good and fun

Lots of action. Like this author - too bad it was so short. Highly recommend.

Narrator needs far more animation

His intonation and ability to differentiate between characters was good. But, the almost monotone made it easy for my mind to wander, thus I missed a lot.
