Be prepared to fast forward

I've read and listened to a number of Deaver novels and like the Lincoln Rhyme/Amelia Sachs characters a lot. I didn't care for much of the plot devices here (e.g., we know all of Amelia's thoughts in detail until she comes face to face with the murderer and recognizes him immediately but suddenly we're not privy to that recognition).... Plus part of the audio is very tedious because the plot relies on reference to spreadsheets and the narrator has to go through all the columns and types of data ad nauseum. I'm also a little burnt out on having otherwise smart characters fall prey to the perpetrator through their own stupidity. That said, a mediocre Deaver is better than a lot of other books out there, but I'd suggest going hardcopy rather than audio for this one.

The story kept me on the edge of my seat. Very exciting and also thought provoking.

I have loved most all of Deaver's work, but I just did ot like the characters at all.

Incredible

The book was great! A little drawn out at times but if you can look past that it really makes you think and ask some questions. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a suspenseful thriller with an enlightening and thought provoking twist.

Captivating and relevant

I'm amazed how reviewers could be disappointed with this book. This is one of the top five books I have ever listened to. I constantly found myself sitting in a parked car listening to the story. I found this truly enjoyable and extremely suspenseful.

easy listen

Another well done Lincoln Ryme novel. A little unbelievable in the tech areas, but still a good book.

Another excellent Lincoln Rhyme novel! Jeffrey Deaver tends to ramble and repeat things, but if you can overlook that, this one is superb.

Gripping

It kept me glued to my desk with headphones on wanting to know what was next! Excellent book, nararrated wonderfully!

Lincoln Rhyme

Another good mystery. I really enjoy the Lincoln Rhyme series if novels. They are as expected, exceptional fiction.

My only complaint is the list of evidence in this book got a bit tedious and repetitive.
