Publisher's summary
In Robert Ludlum's ground-breaking career, no other character so captured the world's imagination as Jason Bourne. He appeared in three of Robert Ludlum's own #1 bestselling novels, his bestselling works to this day. Now, with the major motion picture adaptation of Ludlum's The Bourne Supremacy, the Ludlum estate has finally acceded to the demands of readers and listeners around the world, turning to bestselling writer Eric Van Lustbader to create a brand-new Jason Bourne novel, The Bourne Legacy.
Jason Bourne, international assassin of deadly repute, was an identity assumed by covert agent David Webb. Retired from the CIA and now a professor at Georgetown University, Webb's life is finally his own—until he becomes the target of an assassin and is framed for the murder of his two closest associates. Fighting for his life against unseen assailants, the Bourne identity asserts itself, leaving Jason Bourne in control. Barely a half-step ahead of his nemesis and the CIA, who believes he has gone rogue, Bourne finds himself a pawn in a larger, far deadlier game.
Critic reviews
"Scott Brick is one of the fastest-rising stars in the audiobook galaxy. His understated approach to each book serves him well, and whether he is handling a roomful of Russian generals or a series of dizzying scene changes, the listener stays with him for every word." (AudioFile)

The Spandau Diary -- what was in it? Why did the secret intelligence agencies of every major power want it? Why was a brave and beautiful woman kidnapped to get it? Why did a chain of deception and violent death lash out across the globe, from survivors of the Nazi past to warriors in this new conflict about to explode? Why did the world's entire history of World War II have to be rewritten as the future hung over a nightmare abyss?

If you've never read a Repairman Jack novel, this is the place to begin. It's 1990. A twenty-one-year-old named Jack has dropped out of college, leaving his old life behind to build a new one in New York City. Manhattan's rough edges are jagged enough to shred any unwary newcomer, but perhaps not one who is determined to stay off the grid, at any cost, in the busiest metropolis on earth. And to do so, he'll have to take jobs of a less than legal nature.

Bourne Supreme
Such enjoyment and intrigue was derived from this book. We really enjoyed listening to it whilst on 6 hour drive to Sydney. It fills in a lot of gaps about Jason Bourne but equally creates more gaps about him. Really enjoyable reading.

Is Ludlum Back?
It is fortunate that the Ludlum heirs agreed to Eric Van Lustbader's proposal to revive Jason Bourne through "The Bourne Legacy". I believe Ludlum's faithful readers have been given a huge favor. Once the book began to flow, which took only a few pages, I found myself forgetting that Van Lustbader was at the helm and not the old master himself.
Bourne does live again, in all his lethalness and complexity and the reader needs only to hang on as Van Lustraden drives the plot at high speed around the globe, pursued by the horror of personal tragedy, a worldwide sanction on his life, and a ghostly assassin out of his deep past.
The plot is truly Ludlumesque, the pace hot and furious, and the conclusion wild, and ultimately satisfying. I heartily recommend this book to all the Ludlum fans who truly know Bourne, and all the newcomers who have met Jason only through the movies. Enjoy!

Great twist from the movie
Love the detail. Can't wait to read the set one. Wish the movies stuck to the book. If you think you know the story don't be fooled. Start from book one and see how different they are

Action Packed with twists
Would you consider the audio edition of The Bourne Legacy to be better than the print version?
Just listened...
What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?
Carries the story well
Any additional comments?
Reading or listening to the book one can imagaine Jason Bourne as still being Matt Damon...in the movie of course one could not..

WOW. Robert Ludlum is proud of this book!
The story was absolutely incredible. The way Eric Van Lustbader picked up and wove the next step in the Jason Bourne sage was unreal. There’s a spoiler in this book worth paying double for. Scott Brick is as solid as ever and does justice to an incredible piece of writing. I’m submitting this and looking for the next book written by Lustbader immediately.

It just keeps getting better
If you only met Jason Bourne through the movies, then treat yourself by listening to the books. You are there in the midst of all the action. It becomes almost impossible to put the book down. Truly glad I found you, audible.

Better than Ludlum's Work!
I could not put this down. It was such a great book, all the hand to hand combats were so well described that you knew exactly what was happening. I listned to The Bourne Ultimatum before this and it was awful! This book is so much better, the narrator has a lot to do with it, Scott Brick is so good! I will listen to books just because he is narrating.

A great listen
If tou dig character development, you'' like this. The twists and turns were unexpected, for the most part. While the ending is good, these authors need to find other less perdictable ways to finish a great story, which I wish hadn't ended.

Fantastic
I was a little afraid that this book wouldn't live up to my high expectations. I was wrong. I thought this was very enjoyable! I think I blasted through it in only 4-5 days. Once you get going, it's hard to stop! My only complaint is that I had a hard time inserting my image of Matt Damon into this story in my mind. Bourne in the movies is different than written here. Which is a little upsetting...But, I guess that's okay. I can have the books and the movies be two separate people/stories.
I can't wait for the next book!

compelling listening
This is the best audio book I have ever heard. Anyone who likes this genre will be struggling to take out their earphones. My only regret is that I heard it too quickly and now I miss it.
