"The best opening I ever wrote." Agatha Christie
Agatha Christie as ingenious as ever. Great plot and keeps the mind ticking. The book is very well read too.
"The Body in the Library "
A young pretty girls, body, is found lying on the rug, in the library, but who is she no-one knows
Miss Marples phone rings, her friend, is begging, her to come can Miss Marple, sort it out????? then she sees the girls nails, her first clue
"An excellent mystery"
This is one of my all time favourite Agatha Christie stories. It has a few twists and a clever plot. Stephanie Cole does an excellent job with the narration.
This book is beautifully performed, like being in a theatre.
The twists and turns
Brilliant characterisations, great pace, I was hooked! She has a lovely non-irritating voice that does not detract from the story.
I laughed and smiled throughout the journey, but it has very sad points, very raw too, which Miss Marple acknowledges during the story.
One of the most exciting yet sad stories, takes us back to a different part of history that is difficult to understand at times, with modern eyes.
