Publisher's summary

Newly elected, Jack Ryan has found that being President is not easy: domestic pitfalls await him at every turn; there's a revolution in Liberia; the Asian economy is going down the tubes; and now, in Moscow, someone may have tried to assassinate the chairman of the SVR - the former KGB - with a rocket-propelled grenade. Were the potential assassins political enemies, the Russian Mafia, or disaffected former KGB? Or is something far more dangerous at work here? While Ryan dispatches his most trusted eyes and ears, including black ops specialist John Clark, to find out the truth of the matter, forces in China are moving ahead with a plan of truly audacious proportions. If they succeed, the world will never look the same again.

Featured Article: The top 100 series of all time

That you can immediately hit play and re-enter a beloved new world, or love story, or era from history is a gift to the devoted listener. But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. From YA to horror to historical fiction, from fresh voices to seminal tales, hours of discovery await.

Not my Favorite

A good story, but a slow listen. If you are into the Jack Ryan series & characters, that will keep you going.

Great Story, Oh Jack can you be our real president

The reality that a major war could start with the killing of two civilians by police is not too far fetched.

World Class. A reminder of the greatness of the United States. When we could count on our President and our people.

And comparative race theory was just a bad idea from a Black Studies Class. But we can’t be held back.

China scenario and Russian friends

Great story, the scenario with a mix of truth and fiction was thoroughly enjoyed. Bring back characters and events from other books I find to be almost rewarding. It's like a offering to those who have put in the work and read the "Clancy's" sagas. Ryan, Pat, Clark, Domingo, Robby, even Gregory. I can't even keep up with the Russian players. Lot's of fun

A classic Clancy novel

A great story. Some of the language used for the Chinese could be taken as offensive but I don’t believe it was intended as such.

I loved the conclusion.

Clancy and Picard at their best.

I’ve been hooked on Tom Clancy books for years and have yet to be disappointed. This thrilling and lengthy story is well worth every sentence.
Michael Picard’s oration is what I imagine it would have been like if Clancy himself had read it.
