Publisher's summary

Newly elected, Jack Ryan has found that being President is not easy: domestic pitfalls await him at every turn; there's a revolution in Liberia; the Asian economy is going down the tubes; and now, in Moscow, someone may have tried to assassinate the chairman of the SVR - the former KGB - with a rocket-propelled grenade. Were the potential assassins political enemies, the Russian Mafia, or disaffected former KGB? Or is something far more dangerous at work here? While Ryan dispatches his most trusted eyes and ears, including black ops specialist John Clark, to find out the truth of the matter, forces in China are moving ahead with a plan of truly audacious proportions. If they succeed, the world will never look the same again.

But how to pick just 100 of these unique and immersive listening journeys? We defined a series as having a minimum of three books, and—after some debate—we decided the titles had to be anchored in fiction. Crafty, exciting and suspenseful

One of Tom Clancy's best. Full of military details for every weapon of war. China is the dragon, in an all out battle for the riches of the new Russia.

Good read- but too vulgar

This is an excellent story which could have only been improved by having less vulgarity.

Use of foul language now added Tom Clancy's memory

I have been an avid reader, but think those now writing some of Thom Clancy's novels have crossed the line in the use of to much foul language...

Another good book for Tom Clancy

this was another good book for the technology when it was written. it was written around 1993 so some of the technology is dated.

Classic Clancy

Covers a lot of global items quickly, gives some non-easy political actions short.

Excellent Narrator!

Great narration. And applicable story line and continued development of the characters. Page turner as you near the end. Can’t wait for the next one

Predictable

It was really easy to see where every part of this story was going. That being said. Having a map of a trip doesn't make the trip bad. It was still an enjoyable book, and I thoroughly liked the ride.
