Publisher's summary

When brilliant archaeologist Dilara Kenner is contacted by Sam Watson, an old family friend who says that he has crucial information about her missing father, Dilara abandons her Peruvian dig and rushes to Los Angeles to meet him. But at the airport, Sam speaks instead of Noah’s Ark—the artifact her father had long been searching for—and the possible death of billions. Before Sam can explain, he collapses. With his dying breath, he urges Dilara to find Tyler Locke—a man she’s never heard of.

Two days later Dilara manages to track down former combat engineer Tyler Locke on an oil rig off Newfoundland. Her helicopter transport goes down well short of the oil rig’s landing pad and Dilara and those aboard nearly drown. No sooner is Dilara safely on the rig than she convinces Tyler the crash was no accident. Tyler agrees to help her uncover the secret behind Noah's Ark and, more important, her father's disappearance. As the picture begins to come into focus, they realize they have just seven days to find the Ark before its secret is used to wipe out civilization once again.

With a chilling premise and a blistering pace, Boyd Morrison combines all the best elements of a blockbuster thriller with an intelligent and fascinating exploration of one of the Old Testament’s great mysteries.

Good story

A good story, and pretty close to what I now believe to be true. Not that there was a boat that saved a bunch of people, but still well-written.

Amazing storyline, great book!

I loved this storyline! A play on the bible mixed with science! This book keeps your attention well! Locke is a very interesting character! I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series!

Interesting story, narrator flat

Very interesting story, but I had trouble getting through it because of the narrator. Guess I’m spoiled by the likes of Scott Brick, RC Bray, and Wil Wheatley.

Great book!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I really enjoyed this book. It is not a sappy love story, which I much appreciate. It is just a really good story. It is sort of science fiction but it is also sort of a thriller because the scenario could happen someday in real life. I liked it a lot and have since read both the other books based on the character Tyler Locke which although quite different in storyline have some similar elements in that their stories could really happen/have happened. Great reads!

What did you like best about this story?

The fact that things in the story could happen/have happened in real life - it was fiction and a bit far-fetched, but still easily in the realm of the possible.

What does Boyd Gaines bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Well after getting into the story I realized that I actually had read the book, but I was better able to picture the scenes and action by his reading. I did like that he changed his voice a bit for the different characters. I think that helps follow the dialogue.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I usually listen only in the car but I also listened to this one at home several times.

Any additional comments?

The reader was a tad slow and I enjoyed it more when played at 1.25X

A very unique view of Noah's Ark!!

I really enjoyed all of this book. it was a very novel approach to a time honored biblical story. We can often see how the Lord can use us to accomplish his will!!

Formula Characters and Plot

Aside from a different interpretation of the Noah's ark story, the characters and action was predictable. Smart, handsome hero against an egotistical villian killing to gain power. Beautiful archiologist following her dead father's discovery against an evil woman. Yawn.

It was a nice Twist

I really like this concept because it wS able to stear people view from finding the ACTUAL Ark location.

The many views that Man is causing harm to everything is plentiful, this was just way view of how the problem could be solved.

Right from the start I knew that this would be another 'Cowboy rides into the sunset' book and that the Hero and Heroine would not be together in the end.

Good read

I like the twist on Noah's Ark. I am still partial to Clive Cussler's books, but I am getting into Boyd's independent style.
