"Ludlum packs more suspense into his novels than any other six-pack of thriller writers combined." (The New York Times)
I like Ludlum and I think The Bourne Identity is one of the best books ever written - but The Ambler Warning was a big dissapointment. The plot moves along quickly but the links seem tenuous; the ending is silly and implausible. Seems like Mr Ludlum is now 'churning them out' because mugs like me assume that with the name goes quality - well this one was a big miss and a waste of money.
