Publisher's summary

During an intimate dinner party, a cat burglar breaks into the home of A-list actor Marcus Dowling. When his wife walks in on the thief, the situation quickly teeters out of control, leaving an empty safe and a lifeless body.

The same night, a woman and her infant child are ruthlessly gunned down in an abandoned garage. The killer hasn't left a shred of evidence, except for a foreboding and cryptic message: WCF, the letters written in blood-red letters.

With two elusive criminals on the loose, Detective Lindsay Boxer calls on the Women's Murder Club to help her stop them before they continue their spree. But before they can break either case, the Lipstick Killer changes his act and demands a ransom--not for a single victim, but for all of San Francisco. Lindsay puts her own life on the line--but will it be enough to save the city from this deranged killer?

Yet Another Great Story

I loved how I’m always engulfed within the story right away. The only thing that always gets me is when kids are involved. So as I listened to this audiobook, I was crying furiously and wanted that Lipstick Killer to get what was coming to him as soon as possible!

The 9th Judgement

Paterson and Patero have come out with another great Women's Murder Club Mystery. McCormick did a great job of reading this story. The cliff hanging moments were nail biters but this was relieved by some light hearted moments and the ending leaves up hanging for another book. Can not wait for the next book

Loved it!

I was very hesitant about starting this book with the way Patterson has been with some of his latest books. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. It was a fast moving page turner with a mix of mystery and romance. I highly recommend it.

Great Installment in a great series

This is the 9th installment of the Women's Murder Club. In this one Lindsey , Cindy. Yuki, and Claire are dealing with two Different criminals. Hello Kitty (who we learn the identity of very early in the book) A female cat burglar who is targetting wealthy people, and the Lipstick Killer who is going around killing mothers and their babies. At first the Hello Kitty crimes take priority because one of the victims was killed and she just happened to be a famous actress married to a famous actor. But soon the Lisptick Killer murder take over as they become more frequent. We really don't hear much from any of the girls except for Lindsey this book as the story line seems to focus more on her (even more so than usual)

As usual there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you turning the pages or as in my case listening as I listened to this on audio. This is still my favorite series of Patterson and I thought this installment was really good.
