Publisher's summary

When an attack leaves one of the members of the Women's Murder Club struggling for her life, the others fight to keep a madman behind bars before he hurts anyone else. And Lindsay Boxer and her new partner in the San Francisco police department try to stop a series of kidnappings: children and their nannies are being plucked off the streets.

Amid uncertainty, Lindsay juggles the possibility of love, an unsolvable investigation, and the possibility that a member of the club could die. When everything appears to be under control, the case takes a turn, and puts the city in danger. Lindsay must make a choice with no certainty that either outcome has more than a prayer of success.

It’s ok

The story seemed good but as the story went on I kept losing interest. The ending was not good. It felt it was just filler to make the book just a little bit longer.

Content and narration

Very believable story and great narration! I felt like I could picture each character from the narration!

A fast listen

I'm a fan of some of James Patterson books - the Alex Cross series and the Women's Murder Club series. The 6th Target is as fast-paced as the previous books in the series and I find I actually enjoy listening to his books better than reading them. The plot was good - kept me interested but didn't get too confusing (although there were several plot lines going, so you wouldn't want to take long breaks or you might have a hard time following along), and the narrator was very good. This is a good one to listen to while doing something mindless and boring - I listened to the whole thing while mulching the yard one weekend.

Good

If you've stayed with the series so far you know what to expect. Too many different stories in this one.

Good, but not great

This was a pretty easy listen. I enjoy the women characters and was glad to catch this installment of them. There were actually a few different stories going on that made it interesting. I thought all the court room chapters(testimonies and arguements) were very drawn out. This one didn't seem to have the usual JP suspense...we'll hope for that in #7

Not the Best in the Series

I like the Women's Murder Club series and have listened to all of them, however this is not one of his best. It's good, but not great and from James Patterson, I somehow expect great. As always, Patterson and Paetro incorporate several story lines in the book...there are a few loose ends at the conclusion of the book, but they didn't annoy me as much as they annoyed some reviewers. Instead, I look to the 7th in the series to follow up on those cliffhangers.

Big Fan

The Womans Murder Club stories cannot be cranked out fast enough. I love this series and was a big fan of the TV show and very disappointed it was cancelled. My husband even liked it! So I'll have to sit patiently and wait for the next book to come out. Keep them coming!

One More Winner

I wait impatiently for the next installment of The Woman's Murder Club. This book was worth the wait. The sixth in this series continued the great writing of James Patterson, and I now wait for book seven. The characters are continuing to grow as time goes on. I recomend this book highly.

Finishing this book disappointment-

I’m almost sad to admit that this books was not one I enjoyed, I felt that the story line was shallow and all Over the place- too much going on, no time to delve deep into investing! I also felt that the constant yo-yo’ing of Boxers relationship was annoying- I’m not going to give it away- I just thought it was distasteful and unnecessary!

And of course in the end nothing was really solved leaving this book with more questions than answers!

Sorry JP- this was a big NOPE for me
