Publisher's summary

When an attack leaves one of the members of the Women's Murder Club struggling for her life, the others fight to keep a madman behind bars before he hurts anyone else. And Lindsay Boxer and her new partner in the San Francisco police department try to stop a series of kidnappings: children and their nannies are being plucked off the streets.

Amid uncertainty, Lindsay juggles the possibility of love, an unsolvable investigation, and the possibility that a member of the club could die. When everything appears to be under control, the case takes a turn, and puts the city in danger. Lindsay must make a choice with no certainty that either outcome has more than a prayer of success.

Great

What can I say? This book lived up to what I expect from a James Patterson novel. It was fast paced and kept your attention right up to the end. Great plot and good reader! Definitely recommend this book.

I like it but...

I like the series that James Patterson has done. I especially enjoy the characters. However, he tends to leave some of the story lines in complete. it's one thing to have cliff hangers but it's another to just drop it. I often find myself mad at some of the story line but I keep coming back for more! ha ha

A predictable Patterson

A predictable installment of the Women's Murder Club--good for beach listening when you're not paying too much attention. The multiple plot lines were only loosely tied together--this was more of a view into the lives of Lindsey Boxer & her friends, rather than a well-constructed mystery. I'll probably borrow the next installment from the library, rather than purchasing it.

wonderful performance. a few too many sub-stories within the main story. We love the Women's Murder Club mysteries.

Has some nice Twists

Love the split story lines, but still tide all of the characters together. Can't wait to read the next one.

Transition Music

The music between chapters became very distracting and annoying. It was very hard to continue with the next chapter.

Good book

There was a lot going on in this storyline. If I was trying to listen while doing something else, sometimes I had a hard time keeping up with what was happening. Good performance/narration.
