    "abridged"

What is the purpose of an abridged "The 6 Sacred Stones."???? The other two books in the series are unabridged. Someone is not working on all cylinders!
I don't care who it is, someone fix this problem - its very annoying!!!!!!!

    "To be continued..."

While I enjoyed the book I was upset to find out it was a cliff-hanger. I think we should be informed if a book is part of a collection.

    "wasn't expecting much.."

...And it delivered. This is a classic Matthew Reilly style book - Indiana Jones-ish... must suspend disbelief in order to "enjoy". Yes, written for a middle-school gamester boy. I am neither but I just wanted something to listen to in the car and at the gym. It was Fine for that. Nothing heavy. I really liked the voice of the narrator - he did a good job with the material. Completely fluffy, but sometimes you buy junkfood for the brain. Thats OK as long as you weren't expecting haute cuisine or Proust. I was rather disappointed that it was only 1/3 of a book though. I mean, although I can pretty much probably write the rest of the plot at this point myself....it would be nice to have closure.

    "Partial Story"

Entertaining, somewhat predictable story. I am not sure what happened to the rest of the story, but this baby ends part way through. I thought something was missing from my Audible file. So for that reason I have to give it a below average rating. So where the heck is the rest of the story???

    "Do not rush and get"

This book was ok, I would not rush out and listen to it. There were times I was thinking, did I download a book written for a middle school kid. Then they started to swear so I knew it was suppose to be for an adult. It was very predictable from the start to the end.

    "Here's A First -"

I have never reviewed an audio book before, but I have never encountered a book I just couldn't bring myself to finish, so here I go. The story involves an international cast of heros arrayed against an international cast of villans in a race for the 6 stones. Two stones into the tale and you are overwhelmed by poorly devleoped characters, unimaginative action sequences, and no believable explanation as to why an ancient civilization would created such an unwieldy gizmo. That's where I bailed. I purchased this book because Vince Flynn recommended it, and now I have learned that a great writer may not be such a hot reviewer.

    "Gunslinger ending"

I was upset to find out we will only learn of the 2 sacred stones....very disappointing to hear this is only a third of the book. Also don't know why it was abbridged...it was short as is.

    "superior illuminati"

If you are truly desperate for a new end-of-the-world because of ancient technology wielded by a secret cabal novel then by all means give it a read; otherwise, avoid this novel for your own safety.

"BEWARE, #1 in a series ending in a cliffhanger"

First, I must admit that I am a huge Reilly fan. His books are my guilty pleasures of action and military fantasy and I have read his entire collection. This was my first attempt to listen to one of his books. The narrator was great, but the story's plot was rushed. I'm glad I listened to the abridged version and didn't waste my time reading the unfinished novel. I have one thing to say: The mag-hook is for Scarecrow.
This was the worst of Reilly's books.

"Where's the rest of the book?"

I really enjoyed Reilley's "7 Deadly Wonders", so I bought this book without looking at the reviews. Shame on me! The title is "6 Sacred Stones", but it ends after two are discovered. Is this a ploy to get more money by breaking up a book?
Yes, it's a predictable story, not too deep, but that doesn't bother me as much as the cliffhanger ending we didn't know about. We are already paying a lot more for audiobooks than paper, and now they want us to shell out more for the end of what we already bought? Now way!
