Publisher's summary

Critically acclaimed, bestselling author Harlan Coben has won the Shamus, Anthony, and Edgar awards during his impressive career. Tell No One is an irresistibly suspenseful thriller infused with nail-biting tension and packed with shocking plot twists.

It has been eight years since Dr. David Beck’s wife, Elizabeth, was murdered by a serial killer. When Beck receives a message containing a phrase only Elizabeth should know, he is tormented to tears. A thoroughly enjoyable suspense novel. Lots of twists and turns, culminating in a surprise ending. Well worth the read.

Drags a bit

If you could sum up Tell No One in three words, what would they be?

Drags a bit

What did you like best about this story?

The revealing of the truth

Would you listen to another book narrated by Ed Sala?

Not sure

Any additional comments?

The second half of this book is very good and exciting at the end. But the first half really moves at a crawl. The blame lies with both the author and the reader. Mr. Sala is much too ponderous in his rendering.

Great story, wrong reader

I have always enjoyed the works of Harlan Coben and this is no exception. The story is intriguing, if somewhat far-fetched; however, the readers are still able to allow themselves to be drawn in. My only complaint is with the reader. While he has a good voice, it did not fit well with the story. Perhaps I was overly influenced by previous readers of Mr Coben's work (such as Scott Brick), but I just couldn't get past this while I was listening. Otherwise, I enjoyed the book a lot.

Story was interesting.

Story was interesting,. I didn't like the narrator. Dr. Beck was in his 30's, but the narrator sounded much older, an Edward Asner type who made it sound like an old time radio drama.

Kept Me Guessing Until The Very End

Harlan Coben is an awesome writer. He weaves warmth and a sense of tenderness into his tales of suspense/danger. He's my new favorite writer. Narration was so-so. Voice sounds too "old" for the characters in this one.

Great Suspense - Secrets, Twists, Shockers

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed how loyalty played a large part among the many varied well-developed characters. The background of the character relationships is provided in fragments, just before the reader needs the information to understand the interactions that follow. Promises are kept, even when it is uncomfortable for the character.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

I read the mixed reviews for this book, and almost passed it over. I'm glad that I chose to go with my gut. It is a book that I will enjoy re-reading at a later date.

Six Years turned into eight years...

I really liked this listen, the narrator was great but the story was familiar. A sinister family, witness protection and a heartbroken man. I bought it on sale otherwise I may have felt I wasted a credit.
