Publisher's summary

In what may be her most unsettling novel to date, Sue Grafton's T Is for Trespass is also her most direct confrontation with the forces of evil. Beginning slowly with the day-to-day life of a private eye, Grafton suddenly shifts from the voice of Kinsey Millhone to that of Solana Rojas, introducing listeners to a chilling sociopath. Rojas is not her birth name. It is an identity she cunningly stole, an identity that gives her access to private caregiving jobs. The true horror of the novel builds with excruciating tension as the listener foresees the awfulness that lies ahead. The wrenching suspense lies in whether Kinsey Millhone will realize what is happening in time to intervene.

T Is for Trespass, dealing with issues of identity theft, elder abuse, betrayal of trust, the breakdown in the institutions charged with caring for the weak and the dependent, targets an all-too-real rip in the social fabric. Garfton takes us into far darker territory than she has ever traversed, leaving us with a true sense of horror embedded in the seeming ordinariness of the world we think we know. The result is terrifying.

Critic reviews

"Grafton's mastery of dialogue and her portrayal of the limits of good intentions make this one of the series' high points." ( Publishers Weekly)

Kinsey strikes again

I don't know how Sue Grafton does it. she consistently churns out literate crime fiction and keeps this reader engrossed and interested. I always look forward to her next book, and have never been disappointed. What will she do once she reaches "Z" though?

Much better story the the prior 2-3. I was about to move onto another author. Judy Kaye is the best narrator I have heard

the story was dull and drug on

it got boring and repetitive in the middle. it was like she struggled to come up with new information for a new story. Not my favorite.

Fun, scary, good

Great read, and listening to it was like being at a movie theater. Had to turn off the book way before bedtime or else I’d have not been able to sleep dur to the scary parts!
Will be good to listen again during long travel days.

Spellbinding

The book helps one to reflect upon the aging and their risk as "marks," while creating a spellbinding plot.

a creepy thriller right up until the end

slowly and methodically the case develops but nothing prepares you for the end. Judy Kaye is amazing as always.

Loved this book. Another Sue Grafton hit!

Sue Grafton books never fail to entertain. Murder, mayhem, mystery and fully developed characters softened with PI Malone’s clever humor.

enjoyable book

I enjoyed the book. Sue Grafton's style seems to be a bit softer in her last two books - less hard edged. i like her better and better. i recommend the book.

Never a disappointment

Grafton never disappoints with her series. If you liked any of the other, you will enjoy this one as much or more.

Outstanding!

I've read or listened to most of the series but this was the best. I literally found ways to listen to it because it truly held my interest all the time!
