Publisher's summary

In what may be her most unsettling novel to date, Sue Grafton's T Is for Trespass is also her most direct confrontation with the forces of evil. Beginning slowly with the day-to-day life of a private eye, Grafton suddenly shifts from the voice of Kinsey Millhone to that of Solana Rojas, introducing listeners to a chilling sociopath. Rojas is not her birth name. It is an identity she cunningly stole, an identity that gives her access to private caregiving jobs. The true horror of the novel builds with excruciating tension as the listener foresees the awfulness that lies ahead. The wrenching suspense lies in whether Kinsey Millhone will realize what is happening in time to intervene.

T Is for Trespass, dealing with issues of identity theft, elder abuse, betrayal of trust, the breakdown in the institutions charged with caring for the weak and the dependent, targets an all-too-real rip in the social fabric. Garfton takes us into far darker territory than she has ever traversed, leaving us with a true sense of horror embedded in the seeming ordinariness of the world we think we know. The result is terrifying.

Critic reviews

"Grafton's mastery of dialogue and her portrayal of the limits of good intentions make this one of the series' high points." ( Publishers Weekly)

A good easy listen

The story itself is good, has allot of edge of seat pieces in it, however i can say for me sometimes the extra details to set a scene was alittle annoying as it wasnt needed, little wordy.

T is for Terrific

I really enjoyed this book. I actually read the unabridged version first and then the abridged version. I like the unabridged version best.

Wow!

This is one of the best Grafton novels I've listened to. I found it hard to stop listening. It saddens me that I am nearing the end of the alphabet.

T is for Terrific!!

Sue Grafton has got her groove back!!

After being somewhat disappointed with "S" I was skeptical about "T". I was so pleased to be proven wrong!!

T is for Trespass satisfies on every level. We get more information about the characters we have grown to love (yes, Henry is still kickin' at 89) find out more about Kinsey's motivations, and get justice in the end. More than that though, Ms. Grafton's novels make it fun to go back to the 80's and remember what the times were like when I was a teenager.

There are a couple more gruesome scenes than usual in this book but not in a distracting way by any means.

If you have enjoyed the Kinsey Millhone series you won't be disappointed. If you have never read a Sue Grafton story you will still enjoy this as your first. You may find yourself starting the series at A and working through them one by one after you get a taste though...be forewarned ;-)

Wasted my time

I wasted so much time sitting behind the wheel long after I arrived at my destination, I was so engrossed in this book! Books that grab my attention as much as this one did are few and far between and Grafton once again didn't disappoint. One of the very first audiobooks I ever listened to was a Sue Grafton novel over 17 yrs ago and I've been hooked ever since. I think the thing I enjoy the most out of this series, is that during the coarse of the series, the character of Kinsey has fundamentally remained the same, unlike some other authors who turn their main characters into whiny annoying individuals that I find myself hoping that whatever serial killer is out to get them will finally get the job done and put us all out of our misery. (Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta in particular!) I also enjoy the fact that Judy Kay has narrated every Grafton novel I've ever listened to. The book is fantastic from start to finish and definitely worth the listen!

Too Old

I was so happy to get a new Sue Grafton. The villian in this book is great: cold, unfeeling, taking advantage of the weakest members of our society, HOWEVER...I know this book was ABOUT geriatrics, but it FELT old (and I'm not exactly a spring chicken). I need Kinsey to get friends that are her age. :)

Never know the 'connection' of the two stories

Would you consider the audio edition of T Is for Trespass to be better than the print version?

Far easier to read with my busy lifestyle

Who was your favorite character and why?

Always Kinsey...that's why I read her series

What does Judy Kaye bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

gives me the story because I do not have time to sit and read.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The young and the old at risk, with a P.I. at their crossroads

Riveting story

This story line was a little bit different than the previous ones in the series. It was interesting, exciting, and thoughtful. I've loved all of Sue Grafton's books But this 1 was particularly interesting.
