Publisher's summary

It's Christmas and a chocolatier shows up at Sweet's Sweets, offering to create a special line of hand-dipped chocolates for Sam's customers. He says he will work for no pay, just to prove himself. But she learns that he has connections to the wooden box that seems to give Sam her mystical powers, and discovers that certain evil people will do just about anything to take it away from her. With the same combination of mystery, romance and the paranormal as the other books in this series, Sweet Holidays brings a bit of magic to the season.

A Book for the Sweet Lovers

What made the experience of listening to Sweet Holidays the most enjoyable?

I will admit I was little put off at first when I read what the book was about than I decided what would it hurt to try it. I am totally hooked on the Samantha Sweet Series. I love how she is a older woman who is just your normal plan trying to make it from day to day person. Her love interest is what all older women wish for in a lover. I love how she never gives up and her take on being a mother. I also like how there is some supernatural in it but drowning in it. I hope others will enjoy it as much as I have. I look forward to the next book.

Wooden Box and The Chocolate Maker

The third in the Samantha Sweet Series is a Christmas tale, the first holiday season for Sam in her new shop. Still checking houses and working for the USDA to help make ends meet, Samantha is confused about the home she is assigned that is filled with expensive artwork, with the owner missing, and the utilities shut off. Determined to locate the owner and solve the mystery, Sam and her boyfriend, Beau, the sheriff of Taos, do some background work on the guy. Meanwhile the bakery is flooded with orders that they can barely keep up with, and Sam sometimes, against her better judgement again relies on the magic of the wooden box . . . which she has learned is somehow connected to the chocolate maker which showed up on her doorstep. Good third installment in the series. looking forward to the next one.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Enjoyed this during a road trip. Just the right length!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Not a thriller. Nice mystery without blood and gory.

What does Andrea Bates bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She fills in the story with her voice tones and tempo.

Could you see Sweet Holidays being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Great HALLMARK project

A Spooky Christmas Tale

I truly enjoyed this story of Samantha's first holiday season as the owner of Sweet's Sweets. On top of the extra business at the holiday season, Sam has another abandoned home she must take care of for the USDA. The home comes complete with a mystery, a possible murder, and some extremely unusual collections. On top,of that, a chocolatier comes to work for Sam and he makes magically delicious chocolate confections. But the star of the book is her little magical box! This book is both uplifting, serious, and scary. It may be my favorite book in this series so far. I highly recommend it!

MISTICAL SWEETS

THIS IS A WONDERFUL STORY ABOUT SAMANTHA'S NEW FRIEND, AND WORK AND HIS AMAZING MIRACLES HE CAN WORK WITH CHOCOLATE. THEY SIMPLY CHANGE PEOPLE INTO GOOD AND GRACIOUS ONES, BUT WHERE DID HE COME FROM? THE MURDER INVOLVED IS OF GREAT SIGNIFICANCE AND WORKS WELL, LEAVING US TO QUESTION. THE DELIGHTFUL ENDING CARRIES GREAT IMPORT FOR THE FOLLOWING STORY LINES WHICH BY NOW, I AM DYING TO BUY. OH, SO WELL WORTH THE CREDIT. ANDREA BATES IS ABSOLUTELY GREAT AND I HAVE A HEARING PROBLEM BUT SHE ENUNCIATES SO WELL I COULD REALLY ENJOY THE BOOK. CONNIE SHELTON, YOU HAVE COME UP WITH A GREAT STORY LINE AND CHARACTER WHICH I WILL ALWAYS FOLLOW, GREAT JOB.`
