Publisher's summary

Law professor Myles Eaton knows a lot can happen in 10 years. A decade ago, Philadelphia’s finest bachelor was a hotshot attorney engaged to a woman he swore he’d love forever - until she left him to marry a powerful politician. The only thing more difficult than forgiving her has been forgetting the searing heat they shared. And just when Myles is sure he’s over her, Zabrina Cooper arrives back in his life.

Nothing could stop Zabrina from loving Myles, not even when she was blackmailed into becoming wife - in name only - to another man. And as her secrets are revealed, Zabrina has one summer to convince Myles that beyond their incredible chemistry is a soul-deep bond that never faded.

Humm

Overall I'd say that this was a good read. The overall plot was a bit unrealistic but aren't most. Good job Alers

I love the story, but…

I really loved the story (I love the series), but please don’t use this narrator!!
I will avoid ALL audio books with this narrator!

Very Enjoyable 🙂

After reading the first book, I was a little confused in the beginning. I thought it would be a continuation from the first book. However I enjoyed the book 📚

Narrator is awful!

This story was ok. But the narrator made it awful. I can’t begin to explain how monotone she was and bored I was listening to her.

Story + Narrator = Listening to Grass Grow

I am so disappointed in the narration of this book. This isn't a very strong story to begin with, mostly boring and very predictable. However, this narrator did nothing for it at all. The many mispronunciations, as in the previous book, are so irritating they detract from the story. I now wonder if American English is the narrator's first language. I can understand why pronouncing "Paoli," a suburb of Philadelphia, might be mispronounced, but that should have been corrected before the second book. "Paoli" is pronounced "pay-OH-lee." Words like en suite, executor, lucite, and the many others being mispronounced is very off-putting.

I will give the narrator credit for her voice being very pleasant to listen to and she added more inflections and voice changes to represent more of the characters in this book than the previous book,

Is there a book 3?

Gosh why isn't book 3 on audible. Doesn't seem to exist. I'm loving this series so far. Just don't want to skip important part of this series.

Left me feeling incomplete

Really enjoying the family but I struggled with how easily Myles accepted Zabrjna back in his life. And the child!! The book has so much potential but left me feeling ok!
