Publisher's summary

America is in the thrall of a full-scale socioeconomic breakdown. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation destroys the value of the dollar, and the population, unprepared for hardship, panics. Practically overnight, the high-technology infrastructure and chains of supply collapse, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every city. Law enforcement, transportation, electricity, fuel, and medical supplies are all in the past now, as the country staggers beneath its own weight. Lawless bands of killers roam the countryside, leaving devastation in their wake and now that the government is gone, the Constitution is at stake. Who will carry on?

In this chaotic and dangerous environment, a few families and individuals, bound together by their faith, skills, and foresight, must struggle not only to survive day by day but defend themselves against a new and vicious predator - their fellow man.

Survivors is a shockingly realistic and lightening fast thriller about the coming implosion of America as we know it. Renowned survivalist expert James Wesley, Rawles has packed this story with the cold hard facts about how to stay alive in the face of mass riots, starvation, and anarchy. His expertise lends unforgettable, authentic detail to this season's most chilling novel. Listeners will not only be entralled, they will learn invaluable lessons on how to survive the coming collapse.

This is a real life scenario bk reg after an economic collapse...centered, believe it or not, in Bloomfield, Farmington & surrounding areas. Good stuff to know if you live here.

Great Book

Really enjoyed this audio book. New to the audio book club offered by Amazon but very pleased with the program and this book. Story keeps you interested and gets you thinking about the what if '. My wife loves to read books and wished that text came along with this audio book but that is what the Kindle is for. Thank you Audible

Patriots was wayyy better

The characters never face a real moral test. It’s basically a fantasy novel. Even when things go wrong they never really go wrong. It makes the whole story boring and predictable. This book is a Disney flick from circa 1950. The chapter about the “Hondo” was cringe af and super unnecessary. Ohh eyyee open sky eyyee. It’s entertaining for what it is. Tbh I felt embarrassed for that guy Rawles. Woe is me….woe is me. ….—.-..-..— vbt??

Great for some, not so much for others.

Although I haven't even finished the first half, I can already tell this wasn't the best choice for me. The author has a definate conservative and (christian) religious bent. As a liberal non-christian, I'm just glad that he's not as preachy as LeHaye.

Good end of the world book

Any additional comments?

Little to heavy on the religious under tones for my taste - but a fairly realistic look on what might happen... I'd recommend it to others.
The story line does just kind of trail off... no real ending... maybe a series of books?

Too preachy

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I'm a Christian, but this series gets more and more religious as the books progress to the point that it detracts from the story and out weighs any educational value. I'm all about keeping faith but I don't want to feel like I am receiving a new sermon every time I turn the page or in this instance listen to a new chapter.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I was disappointed

What three words best describe Dick Hill’s performance?

Serious

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No

Where’s the ending?

Waaaaaay too much god.
It just ends! What happened to the gang? What happened to Lars and Andy?
Why did the Author waste so much time in ‘Eon’s” back story. That part was pointless to the story. Yeah ok Ian met his wife in another country, move on!
