Robert Dawes is a hard man to say no to. In fact, it's almost impossible not to let him have his way. After using his charm to construct the perfect life and conquer his part of the corporate world, he meets a stranger who shares the real reason for his success.

Robert is subconsciously controlling the minds of others. There are more people like Robert. Some want to help him develop his abilities, and some want to harness his power for their own ends. As Robert struggles to control his growing power before it consumes him, he is drawn into a conflict that threatens his sanity, his family, and the future of mankind.

What did you like best about Subliminal? What did you like least?

Liked...that fact that this story most definitely grew on me. For whatever reason, I find that audiobooks that pull me , and make me think about issues/concepts in notably different ways than I normally do are rewarding.
Didn't...some of the characters were less than realistic, or compelling, and the ending is maniuplative and somewhat predictable.

Would you be willing to try another book from Brian Blocker? Why or why not?

Sure thing. Fresh and approachable....brings up ideas outside the mainstream.

What does David Coatney bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The emotions and challenges the characters go through as they transform and journey through this story. Very good performance.

Was Subliminal worth the listening time?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Took awhile, and is by no means easy to get into, with a messy ending, but still worth the investment of credits and time.
