When Derrick Storm needed to leave the CIA, he couldn't just retire. He had to fake his own death. So when his former boss calls in an old favor that will bring Storm out of early retirement and back to Washington to investigate a high-profile kidnapping, he knows there must be more at stake than the life of a senator's son. Working alongside, but not exactly with, bombshell FBI investigator April Showers, Storm must make sense of a confusing flurry of ransom notes and a complicated web of personal relationships and international politics. He'll get to the bottom of the kidnapping, but a storm is still brewing - filled with assassins, gold bars hidden by the Communist Party in the former USSR, and someone leaking information to the Russian government. While the CIA mission is getting heated, nothing compares to the growing sexual tension between Storm and Showers. And as the mission begins to unravel they find out the hard way that their assignment may not be what they thought it was.…
Originally released as separate e-book shorts, now all three stories are together and in audio for the first time!

This book is expertly ghost written. You can really envision this being written by Richard Castle.
If you are a fan of the TV Series, this (as are the Nikki Heat books) is a must-listen because it gives insight to the back-story of Richard Castle and enhances the character.
The story is engaging and hard to turn off. This book may have cost me more on gas because I found myself taking the long way home to listen longer (I listen to audiobooks in the car).
I wish Audible would do this with more short story series. I enjoy short audio books but it is painful buying them one at a time at a price that is higher than buying a full video production that takes many dozens of people to produce.
I was a huge fan of the Nikki Heat books and was looking forward to the new Storm series coming out. I hope that all of the "Castle" books are eventually written and released. This trilogy was very entertaining and was a great introduction to the storm series.
Great book. As a Castle TV fan I was surprised to find Richard Castle/Derrick Storm books. Thoroughly enjoyed this and will be looking for others.
Yes, there wasn't repetition in the story line and it flowed consistently. Fun and interesting sub plots.
Awesome! I'm particular about the narrator, especially when a man does it and has to reflect a female voice and vice versa. Johnny did an excellent job on changing his voice and made it following he story even easier.
no, I listen in the car off my Garmin and it was very easy to pick up.
Yep. Ive listened to all of the books and will agree with others that its a blast to dive into the Shows Universe.
Nothing. I think its a Tech Issues and I'll try to delete from the devise and re-download it.
