Bagger's menace pales next to newcomer Harry Finn's lethality. Seeming a normal family-man, Finn has already killed three men, with more targets to come. When Finn also sets his bulls-eye on Stone, his reason why will be the greatest shock of all, making listeners reconsider their beliefs in good and evil.
As bodies and institutions topple, the story rockets toward a shattering finale that will leave the survivors of this explosive tale changed forever.

"Gripping, chilling and full of surprises." (Publishers Weekly)
I loved this book and have enjoyed all of David Baldacci's Camel Club books but this was by far the best of the three. I cannot wait to read the next installment. Some great twists and turns, that leave you wanting the book to go on forever. I hope they keep the same narrator too because he really brings the book to life. Only downside were the lengthy pauses between chapters when I thought my Ipod had run out of battery.. perhaps that can be tightened up. Don't miss this book, you'll be sorry.
I love espionage, legal, and detective thrillers but listen to most genres. Very frequent reviews. No plot spoilers! Please excuse my typos!
I listened to this one 8+ years ago. The Camel Club series by David Baldacci consists of 5 novels and Stone Cold is the third. Every book in the series is wonderful! The leader of the Camel Club is known as Oliver Stone. He is retired from the CIA and Oliver Stone is not his real name. The ragtag characters are wonderful. They include Stone, Annabelle, Caleb, Reuben, and Milton. Ron McLarty, one of the very best, narrates.
As with the other Camel Club books, this was wonderful. I listened to it in one sitting. Many surprises and story twists.
The trilogy of books about the Camel Club and the exploits of its members has been a wonderful read. Each book made me want to read more, and the last two were the culmination of superb plotting and a trip into the world of the big con. I liked the men of the Camel Club a lot, though a more dissimilar group would be hard to imagine. Their bond was strong, their friendship genuine, and their willingness to help each other through a series of crises laudable. The ending left me wondering if this might really be the end of the Camel Club. If so, I'll miss them.
I love the camel club and this book met my expectations. Sure, the book didn't need two independent story lines, and there were times when it really didn't mesh. The book dragged in some places, but hey I loved every word and I am hoping for a miracle, so the camel club returns once again to keep out nation in check!
An the beat goes on. Sometimes sequels get boring, not this one. It picks up where the Camel Club left off and does a good job bringing the reader up to speed if the previous book was overlooked.
I enjoyed the book and the story lines. I felt the two story lines would make great books by themselves. I do a lot of driving with work and did not want to leave the car at times.

This one is the best of the series so far!! I wasn't happy with the ending of this book so I had to buy the rest of the series to find out what happened. This book had almost too much action in it for the Data Entry job. I had to keep rolling it back to listen to parts of it for the second time because I just didn't believe what I heard. Tons of action & some it unbelievable but I loved this book anyway. Buy them all, don't just believe me!
The Action. The Characters.
"well worth persevering"
as with many David Baldacci novels can be difficult to get into at first - but very good once you let go and listen - well thought out and brought together
