Mystery lovers and food lovers will find common ground in their enjoyment of Steamed: A Gourmet Mystery.

Publisher's summary

The perfect mystery for readers with an appetite for crime. Food connoisseur Chloe Carter is on a quest for the perfect meal and man. That's why the "Gourmet Girl" accepts an online date with "Dinner Dude". Too bad he's murdered in the restaurant. Leave it to Chloe to fall in love with the chef, who's also suspect number one.

Worst narrator

The story wasn’t that bad but the narration was awful and very borrowing. I don’t recommend it.

good plot, whiney narrator

It took a bit for me to get past the whiney narrators voice but, the plot was interesting enough, a decent thing to listen to in between diaper changes and house chores.

Worst narrator ever

Book was ok. Would have been better with a different narrator. Absolutely atrocious. Painful to listen to.

So so story

Rather a dragging story even with the murder in the third chapter. So so mystery marred by a narrator with a rather whining voice, but she did match the whining of the MC

Good story but bad narration

The story was good or j wouldn’t have continued. The narration sounded like clueless — OMG whatever - dry and low. When she got into a character she dropped the long words - but it was bad ! Story line was great

Fun Story, Sorority Girl Narrator

Honestly, the storyline was fun and funny, but the narrator ruined it for me. She mispronounced quite a few words, and her whole delivery was a bit "Valley Girl Gone to College". I never finished listening- I'll be checking to see if my local library carries the actual series.

Too much political attitude …

Slamming American systems and people’s choices turned me against this storyline in Chapter 1 — not what I look for in a cozy mystery.
