Enjoyed!
Fun story. Awesome Narrator. This is what I call a grown up story. No immature behavior and characters that behave like the adults they are supposed to be. I really enjoyed this on audible and will be checking out the next one in the series.

Perfect combination for a perfect listen!
Julie James and Karen White were made for each other. Julie writes fun, sassy stories with strong women and strong men who fight to stay apart and lose.
This story throws two agents who have a history from long ago back together. A great listen ensues and if you buy this, you will buy a few hours of pure entertainment.
Karen White narrates the perfect sassy, smart woman of today who just doesn't put up with being put down! She's a feminist, dammit! She doesn't need these so-called men who just march in a mess up a perfectly good job and life!
Is Mr. Agent a wimp? Hardly! He has cleaned up messes, worked his ass off for the position he now holds and doesn't need a woman to sweep in and take his thunder.
Love it. Want more!! Great job, Julie and Karen! I'm your #1 fan!

Good book
This was my first book by Julie James. I enjoyed almost everything about the book. The only downside was that things were a little predictable.

Great beginning
Love this book. I hope all in this series are just as good. I love all the characters in this book. Although, the 2 CPD cops are so strange talking about girlie things is a bit unbelievable.
Narrator is good but no differences between the semester. Sorta makes the romantic scene lose their appeal.

Fun times with the FBI
Nothing like a handsome strong fearsome FBI agent and tough sexy US attorney go at each other and tackling a strange mystery that puts them both in danger. This is a fun listen not too intense but just enough action to keep you guessing. Karen White does a good job with the narration. It is a good kick off for this series. Remember this a romance series not an erotic tale. So if you want more of a sexual jaunt this story probably won’t satisfy you. But for light romantic tale with a bit of intrigue this should work. Predictable yes but worth the credit for me yes. If you don’t have a credit get it when it goes on sale

My Favorite Romance Series (so far)
STORY - Something About You is a sexy romance story commingled with an FBI investigation. Due to animosity between Jack and Cameron, the romance moves slowly in the beginning but kicks into high gear by the end. The murder investigation has a lot going on, too, so there's more than just the romance to keep things interesting.
I previously listened to Book 3 in this series, titled "About That Night," which is my #1 favorite romance novel to date. This book is almost as good but not quite. I love this series because I like contemporary romances with smart, sexy, witty characters and also the legal/FBI aspect that is the background for the series. Julie James writes only a couple of steamy scenes into her books, which is just the right amount, in my opinion. The books stand alone so they can be read out of order, but Book 3 (which I read first) had some minor references to Cameron and Jack that were supposed to be updates but meant nothing to me because I hadn't heard their story (It's not a big deal, though).
PERFORMANCE - I wish Karen White would narrate more romance novels. Her natural voice is low enough to actually sound decent when she does a man's voice. I hate it when the couple is getting amorous and Romeo sounds like a wimp!
OVERALL - (Precise rating 4.5) Highly recommended as long as you like or are not offended by hot scenes and a moderate amount of cursing.

Great story, well read
What made the experience of listening to Something About You the most enjoyable?
Awesome narration by Karen White - she brings the characters to life with her reading. Great characters by Julie James - I'm now a fan of hers. There was just the right amount of reality (e.g., crime scene) with romance. Jack is a bit of an alpha male (wee bit ;) and Cameron is a strong woman.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved Cameron's personality, but Jack and his partner, Wilkins, were both well drawn too. Even Wilkins added significantly to the story and I found myself looking forward to hearing his story someday. There was spark, humor and intelligence to them all.
Any additional comments?
Karen White is awesome, I'll now be looking for her readings even when I don't know the author. I'd follow her performance everywhere right now!

Love This Series!
Where does Something About You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
very very high ... I love a good mystery ... I think this book is a bit of a mystery .. on the edge of your sit read ... curious where it would go? I love the bit of hot & steamy-ness between Cameron and Jack.
What other book might you compare Something About You to and why?
no clue. I am new to Julie James and I love Karen White's voice!! She is just a genius with her voices and doing different characters. love that voice. she makes me laugh. well done.

probably dealing with the bad guys ... or the hotel scenes ... so funny at times.
