"Well written, fast paced Jonathan Graves novella"
Would you listen to Soft Targets again? Why?

Probably if I didn't have anything else lined up or needed something short while I was waiting for a release.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes and no. When the story began the listener can kind of predict how it's going to end however it the getting there that does throw some twists into this story.

What about Basil Sands’s performance did you like?

Basil Sands is perfect for this story line. I had never listened to him before the Graves series but now think of Jonathan Graves as soon as I hear his voice.

    Any additional comments?

This is a really good novella. It gives some background information on the relationship between Graves, Dom, Irene and Boxers. It also shows why Irene/Wolverine calls on Graves and allows or encourages him to do what he does even when it doesn't always comply with the law. But, he's "on the side of the angels"!

"Great start to a great character"
What made the experience of listening to Soft Targets the most enjoyable?

After reading all of the other books in the series, this is a nice introduction into characters that would play roles throughout the other books. The story line is great, and unlike the other books in the Jonathan Grave series, this (being a novella) was fast and to the point. This particular narrator is great, he's done the majority of the books in this series, and he never allows me to get bored, even in parts that move a little slower.

What other book might you compare Soft Targets to and why?

I'm currently listening to Termination Orders and it's a similar book, I also find Marc Cameron's Jericho Quinn series is similar and keep me engaged.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Of course when listening you visualize the book, and for me I think my favorite scene would be the video she receives at the end of the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I feel certain this question "Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?" would normally refer to an emotional setting which would tug at the heartstrings, but that's not why I listen to these books. The "moving" parts would be the feeling of good winning out over evil, and Boxer is an ambassador of that feeling. You can't help but like him, and know you'd want him on your side of all that is good.

    Any additional comments?

I have read/listened to all the books in the series. I found these book on my Unlimited Kindle list and I gladly paid for those that weren't part of it. If you don't like books of mystery, and things that go boom, then don't read this. But if you like hearing the stories of good overcoming in extreme circumstances and, yes, like when things go boom then you'll love it.
