When an affluent young accountant receives a threatening letter - a mandate to come and play an ultraviolent video game called Snuff Tag 9 - he hires rock-star-turned-PI Nicholas Colt to find answers. Colt assumes the letter is a scam, but a four-hundred-pound psychopath known only as Freeze quickly proves him wrong.
Freeze, it seems, is populating his version of the game with real people.
Kidnapped and outfitted with a device that will stop his heart if he refuses to compete, Colt suddenly finds himself one of nine players in an outrageous game of attrition. One of nine pawns captured and manipulated for the perverse entertainment of a sadistic billionaire. And the only way for Colt to survive is to kill the other eight.

This was fast paced right from page one. Somewhat predictable but very entertaining. The book is on the short side a I just got finished with an 18 hour book and wanted something light that wasn't too involved and this was it - PERFECT!! I will definitely get the rest of this series for in between the heavier more detailed books when I want something but need a mind break.
The pace. I could see this being made into a movie easily.
Can't say since I didn't read it but I thought Cole Ferguson did a very good job narrating. I found his voice easy to listen to.
Definitely recommend this if you're looking for fast, light easy to listen to and not to much depth. There are some gruesome scenes so I would not recommend this for the squeamish but otherwise have fun!
