What begins as a snake hunt leads Cabrillo onto the trail of a far more lethal quarry - a deranged militant and his followers who plan to unleash the devastating power of nature itself against all who oppose them.

Reasonable adventure story. Mostly a mindless distraction kind of listen. The recording was sloppy; here was a notification every so often that it was the end of a disc 1, 2, 3, etc. a few mispronounced words. Good to listen to while cleaning the house.
I have not always enjoyed the long historical set-up that is the hallmark of Clive Cussler, but I've always appreciated it. He really works to create an interesting "history" to kick off his stories. Like it or not (I've grown to like it) he forces you to hold on to the past when you read his books. This book wasn't an out of the park "5" on the rating scale but you would be really hard pressed to give the Cussler/Brick combo less than a "4" even if the story was miserable. This one is not bad. Definitely one to add to your library.
Yes!!! I was instantly hooked with the Fargo Adventures. This one doesn't have much of an interesting storyline for me, i could never get into it and hardly remember most of the book. The Fargo Adventures is now easily my 4th favorite series of all time!
From the first few words to final parting, I was hooked and guessing on the outcome and how each part will work together to make a final book. Great. You won't do wrong by starting this book...
I listened to this book with head phones on the couch, I think all of my family thought I was crazy. I could not move.
Action Action Action!
The story was well written, great depth of characters back stories, just a fun read!
No extreme reaction but it made me want to get another clive cussler book.
I was not sure about the combination of two authers. But it worked well. I Used to read Clive Cussler when I was younger and enjoyed them. His Later Works not as good. Maybe my taste is changing? This was a tyhpical Book from this author and well worth the listen. Tone and inflection is sometimes annoying. Would recommend.
Big Cussler fan but this one left me blah. Not sure why - it just wasn't as developed as the others. Maybe my expectation was too high after reading the Isaac Bell books.
This is my 2nd Oregon Files book I have listened to and I hafta say I am not impressed.
I will stick with the series giving C.C. the benefit of the doubt but unless they get good by the end of the 4th in series, I'm gone.
Come on! I listened to the Dirk Pitt novels starting 20 years ago and all in order and yes the early ones stunk but they got great quick and stayed great until almost the end but when it comes to a series like this with the help of a seasoned writer I would expect better. probably too many cooks in the kitchen.
Thanks for the memories though Clive.
