Publisher's summary

Sometimes I wrestle my demons. Sometimes we just snuggle.—Bumper Sticker
Most girls might think twice before getting engaged to someone like Reyes Farrow—but Charley Davidson is not most girls. She's a paranormal private eye and grim reaper-in-training who's known to be a bit of a hell-raiser, especially after a few shots of caffeine. Her beloved Reyes may be the only begotten son of evil, but he's dark and sultry and deeply sexy and everything Charley could hope for. Really. But when the FBI file on Reyes' childhood happens to land into her lap, she can't help herself: She opens it...and then the real fun begins. First, Charley finds a naked corpse riding shotgun in her car. Then, a man loses his soul in a card game. Throw in a Deaf boy who sees dead people, a woman running from mobsters, and a very suspicious Reyes, and things can't get any worse for Charley. Unless, of course, the Twelve Beasts of Hell are unleashed…

Sixth Grave on the Edge is the sixth Charley Davidson novel from bestselling author Darynda Jones

OK then....

Would you listen to Sixth Grave on the Edge again? Why?

The story line could be more interesting if the author spent less time making Charlie out to be an airhead idiot. The narration is spot on and the saving grace.

Favorite Series Ever

I have enjoyed listening to this series multiple times! would recommend 10 times over! I have purchased numerous audio books and this series always draws me back. Each time I listen I have a new appreciation for Daryndas writing talents. The only downside is the dread of approaching the end of the series. This one will keep drawing back your attention with each book. I would love if this series was continued from Beps perspective and plays out the entire story.

Better with each book...

This is the sixth book in the Charley Davidson series. The eleventh book in this series releases the end of January. I think this series keeps getting better and better. I love that the storyline is getting broader and more interesting. Of course there is a ton of humor in here and I continue to love Charley’s off the wall comments.

I listened to this on audiobook again...I am just absolutely hooked on these audiobooks. King does an awesome job narrating and continues to make this series rock even more on audiobook than it would on paper. I definitely recommend listening to this series on audiobook if you enjoy audiobooks.

There is a ton going on in this book but Jones does a good job keeping track of all the separate story threads and making them come together in a unique way by the end of the story. The story is unpredictable, fast-paced, and continually intriguing.

The 12 Beasts of Hell have been released and things are about to get really really interesting for Reyes and Charley. We learn a lot more about Reyes’ past and more about Hell. Charley’s powers continue to grow and change.

There were points in this book where all the multiple storylines going almost got to be too much; however it never quite got to the point for me. Jones does such an excellent job weaving the story together that you really only realize how complex it’s all gotten when you stop to think about it.

Overall this was a fantastic continuation of the Charley Davidson series. I am really loving this series and I love it more with each book I read. I would definitely recommend this whole series to fans of light-hearted urban fantasy. It’s just been so much fun to read!

Can't wait for the next book

My only complaint is that Charley is a little bit too naive at times and that takes away from the story when I am shouting at my iPod. Sure it can be argued that she isn't hearing the story develop from a different perspective, but she is better at connecting the dots than the rest of us. But, seriously, this is such a good series I can suspend my minor annoyances in favor of this great story.

Steamy and must read before the next one

Holy smokes! This was quite tantalizing. Several story lines. Kept my attention all the way. Love the characters. I'm so hooked on this series.

3 1/2 stars rounded up.

This series is good but certain elements are getting old. I would like Charlie's snark to mature just a bit. The constant off topic tangent banter is getting old. Especially as the story line gets more complicated and dark. At first it was an entertaining break, now it's just pulling me away from the plot. And please, for goodness sake, can she stop naming everything. Having her boobs named Danger and Will Robinson was cute at first, but having their reaction to her having sex is just disturbing.

I actually like the plot and most of the writing. Lorelei King does an OK job. As always, her voices are limited to you still have flashes of her characters from other books breaking thru.

This whole series gets 5 stars from me.

This series is just awesome, I can't get enough of it. I've read them, then listened to them narrated by Loreli King and it was even better! Thank you Darynda Jones for such a great series!
