Publisher's summary

There's a dead man in Miki St. John's vintage Pontiac GTO, and he has no idea how it got there.

After Miki survives the tragic accident that killed his best friend and the other members of their band, Sinner's Gin, all he wants is to hide from the world in the refurbished warehouse he bought before their last tour. But when the man who sexually abused him as a boy is killed and his remains are dumped in Miki's car, Miki fears death isn't done with him yet.

Kane Morgan, the SFPD inspector renting space in the art co-op next door, initially suspects Miki had a hand in the man's murder, but Kane soon realizes Miki is as much a victim as the man splattered inside the GTO. As the murderer's body count rises, the attraction between Miki and Kane heats up. Neither man knows if they can make a relationship work, but despite Miki's emotional damage, Kane is determined to teach him how to love and be loved - provided, of course, Kane can catch the killer before Miki becomes the murderer's final victim.

A mesmerizing first in series

The first Rhys Ford book I read. This audio book is an excellent addition to this series. I recalled the excitement of encountering these characters for the first time. Highly recommended.

Better than most!

this romance was much more realistic than most of the romance books ive read recently. they actually took time to get to know each other before getting together. I didn't care for the narrator, he wasn't bad just not as good as others ive listened to

Love

I first read the ebooks while recovering from kidney surgery 2 years ago and fell in love with them. This audiobook is even more amazing than the ebooks, can’t wait to listen to the next one in the series.

One of my favourites

I've listened to this for the second time and it's a amazing book. Miki is the only survivor when his band is in a car accident. His dog leads a sexy cop to his door and Kane changes his world around, but so does a corps in his garage.
The story is good and the author has a way of writing that makes the book easy to get in to the book. The description of the characters are colourful and makes me really see them in my head. There's so much revealed in the book as it progresses and for me it's a perfect progression. This is a series and I've listened to them all, and probably I'm going to do it again.
If you're in to hot scenes, action and sweet guys that also are hot you go ahead. I promise this book is not going to disappoint you.
And it's not making it less sexy by the reader who sounds great.

Puppy Love

I really enjoyed this book! Even with murder, sexual abuse and grief playing a prominent role, I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit. I really loved the Morgan family! The romance was sweet & spicy. Dude! Can't forget that little guy. A very entertaining read and I look forward to more of this series.

Tristan James is a fabulous narrator!

Where does Sinner's Gin rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Sinner's Gin is among my favorites right up there with Cut & Run. The story is fabulous and Tristan James is a much better narrator than 99% of what I have listened to.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sinner's Gin?

Every time Miki and Kane are together.

Which character – as performed by Tristan James – was your favorite?

If I have to choose it would be Kane. I could listen to Tristan's voice in Kane's soft Irish brogue forever.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This story made me laugh AND cry but that's what helps make it a good book for me.

Exquisitely Written and Completely Wonderful!

I would absolutely recommend this audiobook to anyone!
"Sinner's Gin" by Rhys Ford not only has a great story but great pacing, exquisite detail, and characters that come to life in your imagination.
I laughed and cried with the characters, but more than that --I stayed up for 8 hours straight to hear the entire audiobook without interruption because I didn't want to miss a single thing!

The already wonderful story is only bettered by the narration style of Tristan James. Each character has a distinct voice and you immediately know who is speaking when he is reading dialogue.

I'm actually rather new to audiobooks and in the past, I have not been a big fan of them. This one, however, may just have me hooked on audiobooks ((:

Triumph over your past is never easy

The subject matter is a little dark, and moving past it for Micki is tough. I loved the book and it's well worth the credit. I've just bought the second in the series.

This was a great book, extremely well narrated with lyrics of music I LONG to hear in a beautiful, strong, raspy voice. And that CLIFFHANGER!!! Can't wait to read the next book!

My Favorite Series

Would you listen to Sinner's Gin again? Why?

Yes, it's brilliant

Have you listened to any of Tristan James’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes,

Any additional comments?

In my opinion this is the best series by Rhys Ford. Tristan James gets the characters. He is especially good with the Conner family
