Great second installment

Jana DeLeon has crafted characters that you love to cheer for and hope they overcome all the obstacles thrown at them. Julie McKay gives a great performance bringing everything to life. If you enjoy high octane mystery/thrillers, you won’t want to miss this one.

Darker side of DeLeon’s heroine adventures

This story line is definitely darker than the mud bug and Fortune stories... they are still very strong stories lines with less of the light banter and antics to keep the the listener from getting overwhelmed with the dark subject matter....the narrator of this series, seriously distracts from the story line... not much character voice differential.. and in a monotone read... after the midnight and Fortune series I do find this disappointing...

Kept me one more

Get me wanting more and more,I finished the book lesson 24 hours,I-was on edge of seat wanting to know what happen to the kids and if they save them all, I think this book was better that first book , I have to wait for lil while to see hoe Jackson handles the knew findings

these are based in Louisiana dark series.. truly my kind of book and there are six in the series now and I am hooked on these books can't stop reading you will love them also if you pick them up I don't want to give anything away but definitely give these books a try love them immensely..

into the unknown

I love how this book is setting up for a trip into Shaye's past. This case hits too close to home and ends up uncovering big chunks into her history.

Her past is coming back whether she wants it to or not. And Its directly related to her case of missing runaways.

They're disappearing fast.Its a system and no one had any idea how deep it ran.

I cant wait for the next installment.

Interesting story

I really like Jana DeLeons writing, it is usually humorous,and real life.Here is the problem,the stories are to short Most other stories are between 10 and 12 hours, but Jana’s are just 8. So as many stories my husband and I listen to, it is to expensive. Please write longer novels.

Suspenseful story!

I really like the series but I didn’t care for the narrator. I really wish the narrator had been better.

These characters were really well developed and I love the story line. This was a very interesting book and had some twists. I am glad I listened and I am looking forward to the rest of the series.

Great book

I have read the funny books from this author and gave loved them. I thought I would give this series a chance. I have been listening to them on Audible on way to work and back home again. This is the first time I wished I lived farther from work than I do. The series is great and I love the performer. I hope the whole series will be with her.
