Hot young film star Amanda Delany, perfect fodder for the tabloids, had a string of affairs with famous actors, which she exposed in a tell-all memoir. When Amanda is found brutally murdered, the suspects are lining up - from jealous ex-flatmates, to famous lovers, to a corrupt agent. As DCI James Langton leads his team in an extensive inquiry, they discover the truth behind Amanda's successful facade.

The story was good, though predictable. The narration was very well done. I wouldn't say it wasn't time well spent. I will say it was quite aggravating every time I heard the word "infer" - half a dozen times or so - when the author meant "implied". Does the word infer mean something else in Great Britain? Is it possible neither the author nor her editor - people whose profession is language - knew the meaning of the word?
No, the story came to its conclusion.
